Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for 2 Tendering Specialists to join out team, you will support the Hitachi Energy Ireland Grid Integration Business based in Dublin Location: Dublin (Hybrid) expectations 3 days office (Please note we are unable to provide visa support for this position) How you'll make an impact: Target: Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each situation. Ensure tenders are well-documented in a timely manner with full and accurate costs. Preparation: Manage the preparation of all technical aspects (e.g., defining suitable technology and product types), financial aspects (e.g., total price sheet, cash flow analysis), and project management aspects (e.g., quantifying hours of engineering and commissioning) of bids/estimates/quotations. Coordination: Ensure inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures, in line with bid/estimate/quotation planning. Manage external services to support bid/estimation preparation, such as translations and governmental approvals. Documentation: Collect and archive documentation regarding offers/orders and record assumptions and decisions made during the development process. Regularly report the status of bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and analyze reasons for tender outcomes. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in bids, quotations, and estimates, as well as related contract agreements. Provide information or participate in the Risk Review process according to Hitachi Energy policies. Information Coordination: Collect and collate all necessary information to prepare proposals, including technical and cost elements. Customer Relations: Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand their needs and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Provide necessary technical support to Sales Managers during customer meetings. Supplier Selection: Identify potential vendors for equipment and materials required for the project and technically evaluate supplier offers to ensure they match specifications. Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors. Your Background: Proven experience in formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations. Strong technical knowledge in defining suitable technology and product types. Expertise in managing financial aspects, including total price sheets and cash flow analysis. Experience in project management, quantifying hours of engineering and commissioning. Ability to coordinate bid/estimate/quotation processes, ensuring timely and quality inputs. Proficiency in documentation, status reporting, and analyzing tender outcomes. Skilled in risk identification and management, following company policies. Ability to collect and collate technical and cost information for proposal preparation. Strong customer relationship management skills and technical support abilities. Experience in supplier selection and evaluation, and collaboration with Supply Chain Management. Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer, you will contribute to the execution of the Service strategy and Service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, cost -effective service offerings, solutions, and projects for customers. Execute Service work according to work instructions and in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other Hitachi Energy teams. Use your initiative and be proactive by identifying new Service business opportunities for Hitachi Energy. You'll perform service tasks including installation of equipment and routine maintenance and identify technical problems both remotely and on-site in different service categories. The position can offer a hybrid nature (3 days working in Dublin office) with travel to sites as required. (note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position) How you'll make an impact Allocate, drive and monitor the workload based on content, delivery timescales and competences. Use available resources and operate in a responsive manner. Ensure materials and components to feed service delivery are available at the appropriate quality for service activities. Prepare documents and reports ready for sign off by the customer. Ensuring documents are accurate and collated in a timely manner. Drive continuous service productivity improvement activities. Utilize efficient tools to streamline service processes and applications. Ensure service findings are delivered to the product/system local units. Comply with health & safety and environmental directives and ensure instructions are in line with regulations. Control the area of responsibility so that it is adequately supervised. Trouble shoot simple failure equipment and make clear, concise recommendations to mitigate the problem arising in the future. Provide recommendations to management for improvement in both operations and customer service. Your background Experienced and qualified Field Service Engineer within our sector Specific knowledge and expertise in Transformers Fluent communication in both spoken and written English Proficient at working under pressure as part of a team and taking personal accountability to deliver results. Able to communicate effectively at all levels. Proficient in health & Safety, environmental directives and safe systems of work in line with both Hitachi and client regulations and standard operating procedures Experience in problem solving and driving continuous improvement whilst working to project timelines in a systematic manner. We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join our dynamic Engineering team based in Dublin Ireland. This role offers the op-opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects within the utilities, data centres, and general industry sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of engineering deliverables, contributing to innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement in our processes. We also require Irish project experience, be it utility or Data centre's to be considered for this position. (note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position) How you'll make an impact Technical Contribution Act as a technical lead and approve design deliverables. Review all project documents for conformity and quality assurance. Anticipate and solve unprecedented problems and crucial issues. Serve as a specialist in advanced concepts and methods. Contract Management: Support Contract Managers in issuing claims related to scope changes, cost impacts, and time impacts. Deliver quality solutions within budget and contract specifications.
