Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Senior Service Engineer you'll be joining the Grid Integration business reporting to the Country Service Solutions Manager. This varied role will be based on various customer sites throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland joining a great team culture and a great working environment the encourages you to come as you are and take ownership of your own career with us here at Hitachi Energy. As the new Senior Service Engineer we offer flexible working hours, overtime (over 40 hours) you will be expected to travel to customer sites when needed and will be required for significant maintenance tasks and on an impromptu basis main duties will include Installation Commissioning & Maintenance and Repair of the Hitachi Energy and similar manufacturers product portfolio. Responsibilities: Provide technical support, repair and maintenance activity for customers and the team. Ensure conformity to the Hitachi Energy Electrical Safety Management System. Ensuringastrong relationship with our valued customers. Tomaintaina safe working environment for all site employees & mitigate the risks. Ensure ethical behaviours in line with Hitachi Energy code of conduct. Maintain Maintenance Management System, complete all customer fault reports & commissioning documentation where required in a timely manner. Manage the safety, electrical and environmental risks associated with the service business. From time to time a requirement for short term travel outside Ireland to attend customer FAT and Commissioning. Background: Qualified Electrician with High Voltage Power Systems. Knowledge of electrical industry, particularly High Voltage areas. Relay programming/fault finding knowledge in control & protection. Experience of one of, 38KV / 110KV or 220KV Equipment. Background in the power sector service & maintenance would be desired. Knowledge of Hitachi Energy offerings of products and services would be ideal but not essential. Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Primary Electrical Engineer to support the Hitachi Energy Ireland Power Grids Grid Integration Business. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for electrical design works complying with Hitachi Energy and customer’s standards, procedures, and policies. The role would be responsible for design authority for an engineering discipline with medium to high complexity. Coordinate engineering assignments across several different projects within the entire value chain efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Mission Statement: Lead all design engineering activities of a project to assure cost-effective engineering execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning, maintenance phases. Your responsibilities: Technical contribution: Acts as a technical lead, approves design deliverables. Reviews all project documents for conformity and quality assurance. Anticipates and solves unprecedented problems, crucial issues and/or unique conditions. Serves as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods. Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.). Contract management: Supports Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Provides quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract. Ensures adherence to safety standards and mitigates potential risks. Planning and control: Creates work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility.   • Customer Solution Engineer

    Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Customer Solution Engineer. You'll be working to support a team of Senior Engineers and will develop your commercial and technical skills across a broad segment and customer base. This requires us to build pre-engineered solutions that could be adapted and customized to fulfill local customers' needs with reduced prime cost, time to market, and effort. Responsibilities: Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions. Supporting the initial design and the creation of specifications for the solution using appropriate engineering tools and software. Dealing with specialist supply chain to design to be fit for purpose. Harmonisation and Homologation of Solutions making them fit for market. Produce and maintain a mapping of which customers are present in which markets for which products. Segment based on market characteristics. Understand and articulate the regional and country regulatory environment as it affects the portfolio. Interface with Grid-eXpand team and with Front End Sales to ensure harmonized account plans as required. Background: Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical a plus). Proven experience in product marketing and sales, preferably with a background in the product portfolio covered. Strongly experienced team player (i.e., with cross-cultural, legal, and contractual implications). Demonstrable experience in dealing with Customers' specifications and typical requirements for the energy segment. Successful proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets. An in-depth knowledge and experience of the marketplace in which Hitachi Energy operates. Customer-oriented, applying advanced communication skills.
