  • The Opportunity: Help shape the Future of Mental Health in the West In 2025, Helplink Mental Health delivered almost 9,000 counselling sessions. As the demand for our youth, addiction, and general mental health services in Ireland continues to surge, we need a strategic fundraising trustee to lead our revenue growth. We are seeking a Fundraising Trustee with a hunter’s mindset and a strategist’s heart. You will join our Board of Directors to diversify our income streams and help ensure that no one in the West of Ireland is left without support due to a lack of funding. The Role: A Strategic Growth Lead This is a voluntary, high-impact leadership position for a professional who understands that sustainable impact requires sustainable funding. You will act as the Board’s advisor on: Grant Strategy & Submission: Identifying high-value opportunities from state bodies, philanthropic foundations, and EU funds, and overseeing the quality of major submissions. Corporate Partnerships: Leveraging your network to build multi-year, mutually beneficial relationships with industry leaders, particularly within the West’s thriving Tech, MedTech and other high employment sectors. Community & Digital Engagement: Driving high-profile community fundraising initiatives and harnessing social media to turn digital followers into active donors. Income Diversification: Advising the Board on moving beyond reactive fundraising toward a proactive, multi-channel revenue model. Why Join Us? Scalable Impact: Your expertise will directly result in more therapy hours for children, couples, and individuals in challenging circumstances. Strategic Influence: Work alongside a committed, multidisciplinary Board to shape the long-term sustainability of a vital service. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a results-oriented leader located in the West of Ireland with: Proven Experience: A strong track record in professional fundraising, business development, or corporate social responsibility (CSR). Grant Fluency: Experience in the identification and successful acquisition of state or large-scale private grants. Partnership Skills: The ability to open doors, pitch a vision, and manage complex sponsorship relationships. Digital Savvy: A deep understanding of how to use social media as a tool for both brand awareness and direct fundraising. Commitment: Attendance at 10 Board meetings per year (mix of in-person in Galway and remote) and active leadership on our Fundraising Committee. How to Apply If you have the skills to turn ambition into sustainable growth, please apply via Boardmatch.ie or send your CV and a brief cover note to chair@helplink.ie #J-18808-Ljbffr
