Job Description Architect (Functional), Professional Services The Guidewire Professional Services organization includes business analysts, functional consultants, and technical integration consultants who work together to help customer and SI vendors to implement Guidewire applications at customer sites. Our projects are complex and can last from three months to two years depending on the specific customer requirements. During a project, the team will identify customer business requirements, identify solutions leveraging OOTB capabilities coupled with configuration to meet those requirements, and integrate the Guidewire application to other internal or external systems. Guidewire consultants are expected to spend up to 50% of their time on-site with the customer business and technical teams. Albeit this role is primarily for the region but there may be an opportunity to work in other regions that Guidewire operates in. Monitor and work Salesforce/ JIRA ticket queue for requests to make schema changes, security changes, execute scripts against the databases and refresh non-production databases. Collaborate with the application development and support teams on process bottlenecks and provide database tuning to ensure optimal performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and technical point of contact. Assist the support staff to troubleshoot SQL and any other database errors. Report weekly to management about abnormalities and critical issues; provide root cause analysis and recommendations; work with infrastructure team, application team and/or other teams for problem resolutions, following the escalation path if needed. Guidewire InsuranceSuite knowledge or experience (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), including implementation and transformation programs. Proven success leading practice strategy, new methodology development, or global capability building. Extensive experience engaging with senior client stakeholders to drive strategic conversations, roadmap planning, and outcome realization. Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills. Ability to build business cases, define KPIs, and articulate customer value in compelling terms. Demonstrated ability to scale global teams , lead through ambiguity, and influence cross-functionally.
