  • Group Financial Accountant

    About The Role Group Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting group reporting, monthly consolidation, financial statements and the annual audit process. An excellent opportunity for a newly or recently qualified finance professional who wants to build their career in a growing, fast-moving business. The role involves working closely with group finance and wider teams across legal, company secretarial, tax, treasury, commercial finance and operations. What You’ll Be Doing Support the preparation of annual Group financial statements under IFRS and assist with delivery of the annual audit. Produce monthly and quarterly Group reporting deliverables and communicate updates to key stakeholders. Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with FRS 101 and FRS 102. Analyse monthly subsidiary accounts and work with operations and finance teams to prepare monthly management reporting packs. Lead monthly and annual intercompany reconciliation processes. Research, analyse and apply technical accounting standards and guidance, including IFRS updates and accounting treatment for growth‑related activity. Work with the Group Finance team to improve the use of current and future finance systems and technology. Support finance transformation projects, driving process efficiencies and improvements. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls across the Group. Facilitate and perform period close activities, including balance sheet reconciliation review and approval. Work with cross‑functional teams including legal, company secretarial, taxation, treasury and commercial finance. About You Newly or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status. Big 4 training would be preferable. Experience in financial reporting, ideally within industry. Exposure to IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102. Experience in consolidations and group accounting. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft applications. Workday experience would be an advantage. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through to completion. A self‑driven, motivated and highly organised approach. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
