  • The Mount Errigal has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the Hotel Management Team and is offering an attractive salary and favorable conditions commensurate to experience. The purpose of this role is to assist with the smooth and efficient running of all departments in the Mount Errigal Hotel, with particular emphasis on the Food & Beverage and Conference & Banqueting Function. The Ideal candidate specification as follows: Two years experience in a similar role Extensive knowledge of the management and supervision of Food & Beverage outlets within a hotel. Experience in the management and supervision of Meetings & Events operations A knowledge and experience of running functions and banqueting events for 100 or more guests HACCP Training and knowledge would be of benefit. Ideas and experience in assisting in the management of GP within the food and beverage outlets Full awareness of all policies and procedures regarding Health & Safety and Fire evacuation procedures. Experience using a Front Office / Reception computer System. Ability to follow and develop Hotel SOP's Must be well groomed and take pride in their appearance. Must be flexible and committed to succeed in a fast-paced diverse workplace. Courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service. Ability to demonstrate a high level of problem solving. Attention to detail when dealing with cash, reports and documents. Unrestricted permission to work in Ireland on a full time basis. Available to work a variety of shifts included late night, early morning and weekend shifts. This role requires excellent communication & leadership skills and a passion for customer service.     Sales and Marketing Manager The Grand Canal Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales and marketing department. This is a key leadership role that will drive the hotel's growth through innovative strategies, customer engagement, and exceptional team management. About the Role We are looking for a candidate with proven management experience in a similar role, ideally within the hotel or hospitality industry. The Sales and Marketing Manager will report directly to the General Manager and oversee the Marketing Executive and Conference and Events Manager as part of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading the department to maximize the impact of marketing and social media campaigns. Securing new corporate accounts while fostering strong relationships with existing clients. Collaborating closely with the Conference and Rooms Departments to drive sales revenue across all areas of the hotel, including food and beverage outlets. Bringing innovative ideas to optimize RevPAR and ensure a balanced mix of market segments, enhancing the hotel’s overall business performance. Key Responsibilities Account Management: Oversee key accounts in both the Leisure and Corporate markets. RFP Submissions: Plan, manage, and grow accounts through successful RFP submissions. PR, Advertising, and Promotions: Develop, implement, and monitor impactful PR and promotional activities. Digital Marketing and Branding: Oversee online marketing initiatives, advertising, and branding, with support from the Sales and Marketing Executive. Website Management: Ensure the hotel’s direct booking message is prominent and compelling. Group Business Development: Liaise with agents to secure group business, manage travel agent relationships, and negotiate contracts. Corporate Engagement: Visit local corporate clients, host site inspections, and foster relationships to expand and retain the corporate client base. Trade Shows and Travel: Represent the hotel at trade shows in locations such as Belfast, London, and other relevant markets. Sales Reporting: Deliver bi-monthly sales reports to the Board of Directors, providing insights and progress updates. Revenue Growth: Design and implement strategies to drive sales in accommodation, conference rooms, the gym , and the newly renovated Waterbank Gastro Bar & Epic Restaurant .
