As Project Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of a residential project under the guidance of a Senior QS, from procuring of packages through to agreeing payments. Key Responsibilities & Duties Carry out all Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, procurement, cost monitoring, cost control, reporting, preparation of interim payments and settlement of final accounts in a professional manner and in accordance with company guidelines. Assist in the procurement of subcontractor packages, in line with agreed procurement schedule. Conduct MEAT Analysis in line with company procurement guidelines. Regularly attend site and ensure sufficient records of progress are taken on a regular basis and are adequately documented. Produce information for the cash flow forecast for the project and update on a monthly basis and after the issue of any updated programmes. Ensure that Sub-contractors submit monthly valuations in line with dates agreed at the pre-contract meeting. Produce information for the monthly internal valuation which accurately reflects the true value of the work completed to the end of the given period. Prepare information for the monthly sub-contract liabilities report which ensures that all Subcontractors are valued in line with the views taken in the internal valuation. Minimum Requirements Degree educated in Quantity Surveying with some post graduate experience. Strong on technical construction details. Experience in, or understanding of, residential construction would be a distinct advantage. Excellent negotiation skills. Must be very organized and have excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams. Proficient across the full MS Office suite. Collaborative: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment. Key Responsibilities & Duties Support and manage the collection of large datasets related to sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon emissions, water usage, waste management, energy consumption) from various sources across the Group, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the data. Analyse sustainability data on a quarterly and annual basis, to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, patterns, and insights. Maintain Power BI dashboards/visualizations that communicate sustainability performance to key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making. Collaborate with Business Units on implementing sustainability plans, including identifying opportunities and areas for intervention based on insights gathered from sustainability data analysis. Regularly support the monitoring of progress on the sustainability action plans, tracking milestones and deliverables. Coordinate and support the integration of EU Taxonomy requirements throughout the Group. Support the corporate sustainability team in their reporting efforts, including their annual reporting requirements. Stay current on sustainability trends, benchmarks, legislation, and best practices and provide research support for the broader sustainability team. Requirements Professional/Technical BA/BS degree in Data Science, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business is preferable or significant experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Sustainability Analyst. Experience in the construction or real estate sector would be a bonus. Experience analysing performance data, identifying trends, variances, and insights and managing KPI reports. In-depth understanding of sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices in the construction sector. Certification in sustainability-related fields (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) is a plus. Knowledge of emissions standards and frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14040, ISO 14067). Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent); experience with emissions reporting tools for Scope 1-3 is preferred. Deadline driven with a proven track record of working to multiple tight deadlines. Must have excellent attention to detail. This role works closely with both the finance and HR teams so you must have an aptitude to work collaboratively with multiple team members and across disciplines. Experience of People XD and/or an interest in emerging technologies an advantage. Experience working in the property or construction sector desirable but not essential. Key responsibilities and duties Carrying out quality inspections on all works, and reporting to senior management Collation of all project documentation relating to the assigned certifier/design certifier's inspection plans and the Building Control Amendment Regulations 2014 Reviewing inspection reports and directing the appropriate course of action as necessary Liaising with the Assigned Certifier and Resident Engineers on NCRs raised and review of close observations with them.
