The Role Reporting to the Head of Operations Disability Services the PIC will be responsible for the overall governance, operational management and regulatory compliance of the residential service. The role ensures providing the highest standards of service and includes promoting a person-centred approach to the care and support of Residents and management of staff. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and the implementation of Genesis policies and procedures. Ensure robust safeguarding, risk management and health and safety practices. Report and where appropriate respond to complaints, in line with organisational policies and procedures The Person in Charge manages the staff team as well as providing mentorship and leadership, supervision, appraisals, monthly team meetings Coordinate and prioritise appointments in liaison with multi-disciplinary team Ensure a high quality of life for residents through person centred care plans, health promotion review and personal risk assessments as appropriate. Enable and support residents to have choice and control in their lives, develop citizenship, maintain relationships with family and friends, including accessing advocates and other professional support as required Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and updated as per regulations Qualifications A QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care, or Nursing (Intellectual Disabilities, Psychiatric, General) Hold an appropriate qualification in Health or Social Care management (Minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
