GEDON Executive is partnering with a leading Specialist Modular Construction Firm in their search for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Galway, Ireland . Key Responsibilities Cost Management & Reporting: Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, forecasts, and accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) from the manufacturing stage through to final installation. Procurement: Manage the procurement of materials and specialist sub-contract packages related to the modular build, including tender preparation, negotiation, and contract finalization. Valuations & Payments: Prepare and agree on monthly interim valuations with the client/PQS and administer payments to the supply chain. Change Control: Accurately measure, value, and negotiate variations and change orders , ensuring clear communication and contractual entitlement is secured for modular adjustments. Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts ( RIAI, JCT ) with clients and key suppliers, ensuring contractual compliance. Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage commercial risks associated with the offsite manufacturing process, logistics, and site installation. What You'll Bring Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with 3+ years in a contracting environment in Ireland or the UK. Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a focus on meticulous cost control and financial reporting. Sector Exposure: Previous experience in modular, offsite, or fast-track construction projects is desirable, but strong building/main contracting experience is essential. Contractual Knowledge: Working knowledge of standard construction contracts (RIAI, JCT). Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
