  • Residential Support Worker

    *** Please Note, a Full Manual Drivers Licence is mandatory for this position*** Support Workers/ Social Care Workers Required in the Tallaght Area GALRO provide professional clinical supports and services to vulnerable children and adults. We specialise in intellectual disability, autism and behaviours that challenge. Our range of services are designed, developed and structured based on an individual's diagnosis, presentation and current life experiences. Due to the continued expansion of our services, we are now seeking to recruit Support Workers to join our team in Tallaght. Support Worker Requirements: The candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 as a minimum in Health & Social Care or related discipline. Flexible availability - including weekend work. Be of an empathetic nature & willing to provide support and care to service users. Be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Be willing to assist service users in achieving their goals and aspirations. Have the ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures. Full Clean Manual Drivers Licence. Key Tasks Include: Provide emotional support to service users and liaise professionally with significant people in the person’s life such as parents and siblings. Support and encourage service users to learn new skills. Arrange and actively engage in age appropriate activity. Supervise service users in accordance with their support requirements. Social Care Worker Requirements: The candidate will hold a Level 7 degree as a minimum in Social Care or related discipline. Be of an empathetic nature & willing to provide support and care to service users. Be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Have the ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures. Be willing to assist service users in achieving their goals and aspirations. Full Clean Manual Drivers Licence. Key Tasks Include: Provide shift leadership when directed by line management and carry out lead staff duties. Support and encourage service users to learn new skills. Supervise service users in accordance with their support requirements. Be responsible for the upkeep of daily record keeping including daily reports, incident report, cleaning schedules, medication and administration records. Westmeath, Ireland Contract: Full Time Salary: Competitive salary Primary Function: To evaluate client Occupational Therapy needs, identify Occupational Therapy requirements, formulate treatment plans, and treat clients who present with various congenital conditions, illnesses, or injuries, using specialized equipment and the therapeutic application of daily activity. Candidate will: Be of good character. Hold a Third Level degree in Occupational Therapy which is accredited by the relevant Occupational Therapy body. Submit proof of registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. Have at least one year’s experience working as an Occupational Therapist. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, report writing skills, and be proficient at managing records in electronic format and hard copy. Have a keen interest in working with individuals presenting with ASD and ID. Have the ability to provide support and advice to people with various presentations, challenges, and personalities. Have the ability to assess a person’s condition, formulate, implement, and advise on the implementation of a treatment plan. Due to the continued expansion of our residential services, we are now seeking to recruit new team members to join our team in Mullingar.
