  • Future Foundations provides children's residential care services to unaccompanied minors seeking international protection. Role Description We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Care Professional to join our dedicated team in Kildare. The house is located within close proximity to Athy and Castledermot. Working to exceptional standards of care, you will support the day-to-day operations of the service and help lead a team of Social Care Leaders and Social Care Workers, supporting our young people to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards Provide strong leadership and management to a team of Social Care Workers and Leaders Oversee the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of each child Support and guide the team in delivering person-centred care Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion within the residential service Collaborate with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and implement improvements where necessary Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including assessments, progress reports, and incident reports Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures Qualifications & Experience A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care, along with either: A management qualification (or currently enrolled in a relevant programme) and at least 3 years’ full-time post‑qualification experience in a children’s residential setting OR A QQI Level 8 qualification in Social Care with a minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in a children’s residential setting Degree in Social Work, Social Care, or a related field (or equivalent qualification) Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a children’s residential service, including key working experience Sound knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed care, and safeguarding procedures Strong leadership, organisational, and decision‑making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice in social care Benefits Extensive training and continuous professional development (including trauma‑informed and attachment‑based practice) Supportive and inclusive team environment Employee Assistance Programme Opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation Flexible working arrangements Refer‑a‑friend initiative Well‑resourced environment with access to a multidisciplinary team Comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme Regular supervision, mentoring, and support For further information on the role please call or email the contact details below.
