    Foscadh g provides high quality emergency accommodation services to unaccompanied minors seeking international protection. We support the children/young adults to integrate into normal community settings with the support of a team of trained social care professionals. Location:Based in Midlands, with frequent travel nationwide. Hybrid working Excellent salary commensurate on qualifications and experience Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager. The HR Manger will be responsible for managing the full HR function of Foscadh g. Reporting to the Director of Services & Operations, this key role will encompass communicating with key stakeholders across the business on all aspects of HR. This is a new role in the fast-growing organisation. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment: Develop sourcing strategies to generate a sufficient pipeline, using a variety of innovative techniques including social networking and direct sourcing to attract suitable candidates for a wide array of roles, from front line Social Care Workers/ Assistant Support Workers to support staff. Responsible for all recruitment and selection to include: 1) Job Descriptions preparing Job Descriptions as required 2) Supporting and liaising with our Centre Managers and Senior Management in relation to all recruitment and staffing requirements 3) Advertising vacant positions - shortlisting candidates, interview scheduling and attending interviews as required 4) Completing recruitment processes from end to end including sourcing, Gardai Vetting applications, mandatory paperwork, interview feedback, reference checking and issuing employment contracts and onboarding 5) Acting as the initial point of contact for all applicants both internal and external 6) Managing applicants from our employee referral programme and informing the payroll department 7) Liaise with external recruitment partners as required 8) Stay up-to-date on recruiting best practices and industry trends to enhance our processes Employee Relations: Support workplace investigations and provide advice on disciplinary procedures to ensure that Managers are coached in dealing with staff issues, absence management, performance management. Also assist employees who may have queries re the process. HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures, providing advice to promote consistent application and ensuring adherence with Tusla and HIQA regulations. Keep up to date at all times employee files in both hard and soft copy Training: review, co-ordinate and schedule training across the company including identifying and proposing training to develop employee skills and ensuring our training matrix is kept up to date at all times. Issue e-training as required to the staff team and follow up on completion Assist in the rollout of HR projects focused on Employee Engagement, Wellness, and Inclusion & Diversity Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise Set up new employees on various systems prior to start date and prepare f Assist in payroll processing, verifying records where required Communicating with the Payroll Dept. regarding employee benefit administration such as pension and health Insurance The list of key duties is not exhaustive Criteria required for the post: Third level qualification in Human Resources Must have previous recruitment experience (1year minimum) and a background in social care or knowledge of the social care sector is an advantage but not essential.     Social Care Worker Purpose of Role To provide high quality, safe, effective, person-centered front-line care to all young persons within the business To engage in key working duties as assigned by the Deputy PIC/PIC To assist the Deputy PIC/PIC in the overall management of Foscadh g homes through any tasks delegated by these Reporting To Deputy PIC/PIC The Social Care Worker will provide any support required to the Deputy PIC/PIC to ensure the provision of the high, quality, effective person-centred care and support to young persons in Foscadh g homes. Location The role will be based in Offaly as agreed and with occasional travel to other locations to meet business needs. Responsibilities & Key Duties To develop appropriate professional relationships with children and parents/carers. To assist in the day-to-day care and supervision of children within the home including engaging with them in activities such as housework, maintenance of clothing, cooking and personal care. To assist with the supervision and purchase of clothing for children, the care of furnishings and household equipment and undertake household and domestic duties which are appropriate to the care of young people. To accompany the children, when necessary, to places of worship; holidays; outings and on other occasions. To contribute to the development of the young people, through the promotion & provision of a healthy lifestyle. To assist in facilitating personal education plans for young people and ensure that recreational and leisure activities are organised as required. To support the young persons development in both personal and social skills. To be sensitive to the needs of individual children, taking account of race, culture, language and religion To initiate and maintain appropriate contact with parents/carers, teachers and other professional staff and agencies acting in the best interests of the children at all times. Establish and maintain contact with the local community and thereby facilitate the involvement of the young people in outside activities. To contribute to the multi-disciplinary assessment of young peoples needs and the development of appropriate care plans to meet such needs Where appropriate to undertake key worker responsibilities To contribute to and participate in team meetings, core group meetings, Care /placement planning meetings and other meetings as required. Participate, as appropriate, in implementing the care plan and placement plan for each child in the home. Contribute to the maintenance of appropriate records particularly those detailing observations and/or assessment of the children and those required to comply with statutory requirements and Foscadh g policies and procedures. Undertake duties in connection with the proper receipt, recording and safe keeping of monies and valuables within the home. To share relevant information with colleagues and managers e.g. at changeover, and team meetings. To inform line managers of any matters of concern in relation to the welfare of the children including any concerns regarding the behaviour or practice of other staff. To be aware of Health and Safety at Work requirements as they pertain to this post and comply with Foscadh g policies and procedures. To participate in formal supervision in accordance with Foscadh g & supervision policy. To maintain confidentiality in respect of staff and children at all times. To participate in staff training programmes as appropriate. Report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance work requiring attention Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of Foscadh g homes The list of key duties is not exhaustive. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/or experience: Qualifications Essential: A Third Level Qualification in Applied Social Studies in Social Care or equivalent **QUALIFICATION MUST BE RELEVANT TO CARE INDUSTRY** Experience Essential: Prior experience in a similar role Experience in caring for young persons Experience of report writing and support plans Experience and maturity to set and deliver goals on own initiative An understanding of basic mental health issues, medical, social care, social welfare systems and social care, social welfare payments, child welfare and protection and youth work A compassionate and empathetic style Essential skills, competencies and/or knowledge Professional Knowledge Essential: Knowledge of legislation including: National Standards for Childrens Residential Centres.
