This newly created role has arisen due to growth in the business and this person will be part of a strong finance team, including a supportive and down to earth Financial Controller. You may currently be working within a similar role within a small, medium or large business, or as an accounting technician / bookkeeper within a small-medium accounting firm. You may alternatively be in an administrative role looking to build more accounting experience.   • My client, a growing Irish business based in Louth, which has expanded its operations in recent years, is looking to recruit a Head of Finance, to play a key role in it's next phase of growth. You will be a Financial Controller / Finance Manager looking for a new challenge and to be part of a growing business. You will ideally have 6+ years relevant hands-on financial management experience within a medium/large sized business, and be able to demonstrate strong people management and commercial experience. Experience within senior finance role within a manufacturing business would be beneficial. This role will involve significant interaction with non-finance stakeholders and the Senior Management of the business, so strong communication and influencing skills are crucial. Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the production of timely, accurate weekly and monthly financial reports including Management and Board pack reports. Act as primary liaison with external auditors. Manage and comply with all financial regulations, standards, reporting requirements and tax filing deadlines. Influence and advise senior business leaders in relation to the business's strategic objectives. Oversee the businesss cash flow, ensuring robust financial health. Prepare and manage forecasting and budgeting processes. Analyse financial performance, providing insights to facilitate informed decision-making. Education & Skills Required A recognized accounting qualification with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience You will ideally have at least 2+ years experience of working in a senior finance role within a manufacturing business, with strong exposure to cost management/Accounting. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient financial management. Strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a broad range of business functions Strong people management experience.
