Run end-to-end payrolls accurately and on time Be a trusted point of contact for client payroll queries Manage new hire set-ups and employee terminations Ensure all relevant data is collected and submitted — including PSRs to Revenue and pension auto enrolment submissions. Work collaboratively with the team while maintaining a high standard of compliance and client care. Pull and work with data from clock-in systems What will you bring? Responsible for managing team members, including assisting with training and development of new staff and onboarding new payroll clients working with the other payroll manager (and payroll partner in the absence of payroll manager). Maintaining your own portfolio of client’s payroll deadlines for processing and review. Overseeing the daily workflow, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed. Responsible for overseeing the payroll e-mail and assuring queries are being dealt with by the overall team in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting, overseeing and allocating workflow from the internal payroll e-mail in order to monitor and limit internal distractions. Monitoring the daily checklist to ensure all stages are completed on a daily basis meeting all daily payroll and banking deadlines. Check bank authorisation confirmations indicating payments processed in advance of payroll deadlines. Ensuring any necessary client follow‑ups are actioned in a timely manner where the relevant information is not received. Escalate any continuous issues to next level management, if required. Ensure all team members follow the Fitzgerald Power payroll process to enable the timely production of assigned payrolls. Ensuring processing of all payroll information in timely manner while maintaining the firm’s standard of excellent client service. Qualifications Professional accountancy qualification is preferred (ITI, CTA, ACCA, ACA). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role within an Irish tax practice. Experienced in managing a client portfolio with strong commercial expertise. Strong technical skills to deliver tax advisory services. Prior experience of working with FDI and personal tax planning cases (desirable but not essential). Team player with experience in managing staff. Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong Microsoft applications skills; Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Assisting the team with various client payroll related queries. Act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries and refer to payroll manager (payroll partner in absence of payroll manager). Adherence to the payroll processing standard operating procedures document. Use internal payroll checklist template at end of the process to ensure all steps are correct. Completing internal reporting system (Karbon HQ) on weekly basis. Conduct any other duties or tasks associated with payroll administration for clients and ensure delegated to team members as required. Ensuring weekly/fortnightly and monthly payroll reports and pay slips are issued and signed off accordingly by the team. Ensuring weekly/fortnightly and monthly PSR are uploaded to Revenue. Monitoring Employers PAYE deadlines. Experience with WRC & DSP Inspections. What will you bring? At least 8-10 years of payroll processing experience. People management & supervision skills. Knowledge of Thesaurus & BrightPay required. IPASS qualification required. Knowledge of Irish taxation. Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
