  • Principal IT Data Analyst

    Principal IT Data Analyst – Fidelity Investments As Principal Data Analyst you will lead the current state analysis to support the design and implementation of core infrastructural capabilities for our next generation Fidelity Brokerage Services Incorporated (FBSI) brokerage platforms. You will work with brokerage leaders and partners across business, architecture and technical teams with responsibility for developing analytics insights that drive solution recommendations for the platform’s core components. Key Responsibilities Lead current state analysis to support the design and implementation of core infrastructural capabilities. Collaborate with brokerage leaders and partners across business, architecture and technical teams. Develop analytics insights that drive solution recommendations for the platform’s core components. Qualifications & Skills Strong technical experience leading data or BI projects, including requirements gathering, analysis, interpretation, and translation to data solutions. Proficiency designing and developing high‑value actionable BI reports using PowerBI or Tableau. Excellent data analysis and data profiling skills with expertise in SQL or Python; ability to wrangle enterprise datasets and validate impact of changes. Experience navigating, influencing and working across business, technical and architecture teams to enable new data insights and deliver data solutions. Expertise in data modelling techniques (relational, dimensional, graph) and application of best practices when building data solutions. Strategic thinking and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences. Continuous learner, interested in mastering new skills and keeping current on the latest innovations; experienced developing data analytics proof of concepts. Critical and strategic thinker, proactive ownership and accountability; go‑getter with ability to unravel data, business process or organizational mysteries. Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to cultivate relationships across organizational boundaries. Prior experience with on‑prem enterprise database to cloud migrations; familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices and pipeline development and data movement technologies within AWS or Azure cloud environment. Knowledge of brokerage or financial services. Team You will be part of the End‑to‑End Analysis and Consumption team responsible for performing current state analysis of brokerage platforms as part of our FBSI modernization program. The team develops approaches and systems that inventory and analyze the interconnectedness and dependencies of mainframe and cloud‑based platforms, spanning code base, data stores and job control. The goal is to provide analytics insights and recommendations necessary to assist the architecture strategy and engineering drive towards a cloud‑hosted platform and capability model brokerage platform.   • Senior Business Analyst, Customer Solutions As a Senior Business Analyst in Fidelity’s Workplace Investing Customer Solutions Chapter, you will be a member of an Agile squad responsible for crafting an engaging experience for our clients. Day to day, you will work closely with a team of cross‑functional and dedicated squad members—product, technology, legal, compliance & risk partners—responsible for delivering specific business goals. Roles and Responsibilities Identify and document business requirements, current and future states; provide constructive feedback for future process improvements. Experience with workflow design, data analysis, data visualisation, and impact analysis. Manage dependencies across teams and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Mentor peers; manage conflicts within teams. Required Experience and Qualifications 5–7 years transferable experience in business analysis or a related field. Proven experience working in an Agile environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
