Job Purpose Fexco Tech delivers a broad range of IT services to the overall Fexco Group. These services include project management, software development, and the overarching responsibility for the IT Infrastructure that supports all aspects of the Groups business. This is a highly technical hands-on role requiring the candidate to have extensive knowledge and experience in their field of expertise. This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid/remote model. Main Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code. Working within an Agile environment with LEAN principles, you will be a member of a strong team with a strict emphasis on continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery. Work in a collaborative way within creative, cooperative, highly skilled development teams. Demonstrate a keen sense of urgency and shared ownership of our client's products. Working within a well-defined development process and adhering to code quality standards, you'll perform the technical software design and estimation of complex work packages. Work closely and proactively with customers to ensure that project deliverables meet their requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change. Continuously monitor the quality and stability of technology stack delivered and proactively propose improvements and changes where required supported by data acquired from system feedback. Qualifications/ Experience Required Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications using and associated frameworks/libraries. Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Extensive experience architecting and maintaining front-end solutions using modern build tools and frameworks, including npm and Solid understanding of BDD, TDD, and test automation using tools such as Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright, or PyTest. Experience in building and maintaining infrastructure for serving front-end applications and assets. Exposure to or experience working in an event-driven architecture environment. Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures is a strong advantage. Competencies Desired On occasion must be able to work under pressure and successfully manage a very diverse and demanding workload combined with an ability to work autonomously. Good interpersonal skills, able to work well and adapt in a fast-moving agile environment. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others. Act as a mentor to junior members of the team sharing advice and expertise to support their growth and development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences. Work within a defined delivery process to deliver high-quality code for complex projects. Be a proactive stakeholder in quality of code and overall product quality whilst adhering to development standards and the development lifecycle. Must embrace emerging technologies and keep abreast of new frameworks, tools and programming languages. Must have strong verbal, written and organizational skills and strong customer focus. Add value in all stages of project/support work from definition, development and deployment. Qualifications/ Experience Required Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following characteristics: BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field. A minimum of 5 years experience in multi-tier application and database development. Experience and knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure preferably. Strong experience working with backend technologies such as Java and/or Node.js. Good experience with SQL & No-SQL databases. Knowledge and experience in Lean, Agile and Scrum methodologies Experience in front-end programming (React, JavaScript/typescript) as well as test frameworks (e.g. Pytest, Cypress, etc) an advantage. Responsible for designing, developing, deploying & supporting cloud native software applications which includes Continuous Delivery/Deployment pipelines and all aspects involved. Experience in containers and container orchestration with Kubernetes. Knowledge of standard architectural design patterns, TDD and Test Automation. Expertise in designing software solutions leveraging asynchronous messaging patterns, ensuring decoupled, scalable, and resilient systems. Knowledge of Financial Services Systems desirable. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of financial transactions, maintaining integrity across all accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly. This role supports strong financial controls and compliance by investigating variances, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring all reconciliations meet reporting deadlines. Main Responsibilities Reconciliation of the FX-MS ledgers on the Bureau operating system for the UK entities Liaising with the Client Account Mangers , Area Managers, Treasury and stores within the UK Investigate, document and follow up any un-reconciled items and obtaining management sign-off where necessary Escalate any delays or issues within the usual procedures to the Team Lead. Assist with the provision of support in back office finance functions during holiday and busy periods Responsibility for setting up daily payments to suppliers. Undertake and assist on other ad hoc projects as and when required. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending data-backed solutions. Support the development and testing of new reporting tool (google looker). Qualifications/Experience Required Knowledge and understanding of bank reconciliation concepts. Previous experience in a similar role desirable. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel. Competencies Required Accuracy & attention to detail in performing daily tasks is essential. Ability to work on own initiative and often under pressure to demanding timelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Team player who is hard working, flexible and able to act under pressure and on own initiative.
