FT is recruiting a Senior Project Environmental Scientist who will work as an integral member of the Energy and Planning team in either the Dublin, Cork or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the environmental business and working closely with fellow professionals. FT's Responsibilities The Senior Project Environmental Scientist will, amongst other things, be responsible for: Working closely with senior staff in delivering the workload assigned Delivery of individual projects from conception to execution Ensuring that all deliverables meet the expected quality levels and are delivered on time and within budget Coordination and completion of Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation, and other environmental assessment/monitoring reports Provide environmental technical assistance to the business Assisting with the preparation of proposals Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals Skills / Qualifications Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline A minimum of 5-7 years post-graduate experience in an environmental or waste management position Chartered status in relevant discipline is desirable Excellence knowledge of planning, environmental and waste management legislation Proven track record in contribution to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projects Excellent attention to detail Be flexible and a good team player Excellent report writing and technical skills An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including a competitive salary, hybrid working, shorter working Friday, medical benefit and professional body support.   • Graduate/Project Geotechnical Design Engineer Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Waste & Resource Management and Renewables. FT provides design and contract management services for infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, active travel, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines. FT is seeking to recruit a Graduate or Project Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our Geotechnical Team in our Sustainable Infrastructure department in our Cork, Dublin or Carlow office. The post will suit candidates with a Civil Engineering or Geology Degree and a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering, keen to apply their professional skills and gain experience in a busy and dynamic civil, structural, geotechnical and environmental engineering practice. FT's Responsibilities Geotechnical Engineering design including roads, highways, active travel and greenways, earthworks, slope stability, retaining structures and structural foundations Peat assessment and stability Planning and managing CAD documentation, working closely with CAD Technicians Working closely with other Engineers, Scientists and Graduates Attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals Ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems Ensure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation Skills / Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering Interested in working towards Chartered Engineer status Experienced in the geotechnical engineering design of Infrastructure projects Familiarity with AutoCAD Working knowledge of geotechnical design software Experience working in a Consulting Engineering firm or similar company Excellent communication, management, analytical and organisational skills required Experience working and coordinating with technical specialists and engineers Efficient work methods, functioning both as part of team and on own initiative Experience organising and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframe The ability to adopt and work to new procedures and systems quickly Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings Full Drivers Licence preferred Is FT the right fit for you?   • Senior Town Planner  

    - Dublin

    Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Renewable Energy, Urban Development, Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy and Environment. FT is looking to recruit a Senior Town Planner who will work as an integral member of the Planning team , aiding the expansion of the Planning business and working closely with fellow professionals. The work will be challenging and varied, ranging from preparing and submitting planning applications to providing strategic level planning advice including and advising on consenting processes / strategies. For the right candidate, there will also be opportunities to project manage a multi-disciplined team in the delivery of environmental reports and EIAR’s for renewable energy projects. This position offers exposure to the significantly expanding Irish renewable energy sector. FT's Responsibilities Preparing and submitting planning applications, drafting reports, feasibility studies, masterplans and planning strategies for a wide range of projects. Working with a range of client bodies including both private sector and public sector. Overseeing, and/or project managing multidisciplinary projects. Team working to support the delivery of projects. Skills / Qualifications Degree and/or Masters in Town Planning Minimum of eight years experience Extensive town planning experience and expert knowledge of planning and environmental legislation. Corporate / Chartered member of the IPI / RTPI. Previous experience of having an active role in the delivery of varied environmental projects.
