FT is seeking to appoint a Clerk of Works for a major greenway infrastructure construction project in County Wexford.
The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience. The role provides exposure to a range of disciplines including historic and new structures, civil, drainage and ancillary works.

What would my main responsibilities be in this role?
Carry out daily inspections and keeping of daily site diaries
Reviewing and approving materials submissions from the Contractor
Reviewing of the Contractor’s method statements
Reviewing and approving inspection and test plans
Raising non-compliance reports
Supervision of the construction works on site
Witnessing of key stages of the construction works
Advising the designer of any design defects noted
Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with the Works Requirements and Contract
Liaise with the design team on any design related matters
Representing the designer at site meetings when required
Am I the right person for the role?
National Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Studies or related field
5 years post-graduate experience in road or greenway infrastructure projects
Experience working as a Design Site Representative Inspector or Employer’s Representative Inspector on roads, greenway or active travel projects
Experience in the site supervision of bridge structures construction
Experience in the site supervision of historic steel structures a plus
Experience working in a Consulting Engineering or similar company a plus
Excellent communication, management and organisational skills required
Experience working and co-ordinating with technical specialists and engineers
Experience organising and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframe
Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
Flexible and a good team player
Works efficiently and on own initiative
Full Drivers Licence
