They partner with the Product Owner, BA team, and Technical Architect to translate business objectives into robust architectural designs and high-quality solutions. They are expected to operate with significant autonomy, provide clarity when requirements are ambiguous, and ensure the team delivers scalable, secure, and maintainable features across the EXL Premium Audit platform. They also serve as the primary engineering mentor within the pod, guiding Band A/B developers and ensuring strong engineering practices. As part of your duties you will be responsible for Convert business goals and high-level requirements into clear, actionable application architecture. Design holistic solutions including backend services, frontend flows, integrations, data models, and security considerations. Produce high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) architecture documents that reflect scalable, maintainable future-state patterns. Ensure designs are aligned with the existing global architecture and work closely with the Technical Architect to maintain consistency. Understand the capabilities and limitations of AI systems and propose how LLM-based features (document validation, summarization, anomaly detection, etc.) can best be incorporated. Design stable APIs and workflows to integrate AI services in a secure and predictable way. Technical Ownership & Delivery Provide high-level effort estimates and technical input to the Product Owner for planning and roadmap decisions. Lead end-to-end implementation of complex features using .NET, Entity Framework, Python, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular). Serve as the primary technical reviewer for the pod, ensuring code quality, security practices, and performance standards. Collaborate closely with QA Automation and Performance engineers to ensure architectural decisions support testability and performance requirements. Platform Expertise & Problem Solving Maintain a detailed understanding of database structures, network interactions, microservices (where applicable), and application hosting environments. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within SLA, including root cause analysis and preventative engineering improvements. Support customization or integration of third-party platforms (e.g., Nexus, carrier systems, AI services). Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, elevating the engineering culture within the Ireland pod. Work effectively across global teams (US, India, Ireland), translating between business context and technical implementation.
