Experience Requirements Proven experience in a regional, site, or supervisory management role within validation, commissioning, HVAC compliance, or similar technical service environments. Demonstrated ability to manage operational delivery, including scheduling, resource planning, and performance tracking. Background working in GMP regulated, cleanroom, or controlled environments, with a strong understanding of compliance expectations. Experience representing technical teams in client facing roles, addressing escalations, and building strong professional relationships. Exposure to commercial aspects such as reviewing quotations, supporting budgeting, or contributing to financial performance. Full, clean driving licence. Eligibility to work in Ireland. Role details: The ESS Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and organizing the day-to-day work activities of ESS Ltd Maintenance Technicians on site, to the highest standard and performed in a thorough and timely fashion. Areas of responsibility: Supervise daily and weekly work of technicians to meet goals and objectives. Ensure that the Manufacturing Department is provided with adequate shift support at all times. Promote a safety culture at all times within the Maintenance team. Ensure the Maintenance team adhere to the SK values at all times. Implement best practice systems and Lean tools to improve maintenance team performance. Demonstrate capabilities in problem solving and developing improvement action plans. Analyse plant downtime and implement strategies to increase uptime (recurring WOs etc). Ensure schedules are met on a weekly basis. Communicate effectively with all departments to allocate downtime within the plants to facilitate maintenance, training and maintenance project work. Work with total flexibility within the Engineering Department and in co-operation with other Departments. Ensure that good Engineering Workshop practices are always followed (eg: shift to shift handovers). When required, ensure deviations are raised, investigated, and closed out in a timely manner. When required, ensure change controls are raised, implemented, and closed out in a timely manner. Write and update relevant SOP's and Policies where required. Liaise with EHS dept reps with regards to safety issues raised onsite. Set and deliver challenging targets for Maintenance KPI's. Comply with Health and Safety, Environmental, cGMP regulations and company standards. Lead by example. Ensure maintenance technicians are fully trained on all new equipment / technology brought to site. Ensure that training needs for the maintenance technicians are identified and that time is allocated to deliver training effectively. Maintain up to date training records. Contribute actively to cross functional teams and initiatives. Provide performance management feedback to maintenance technicians. Evaluation (in conjunction with site department management) of all Maintenance Service Level Agreements and external contractors. Lead and assist with projects assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Use of the computerized maintenance management system to report on various KPI's carried out on equipment/utilities. Carry out onsite maintenance related safety investigations and CAPA as assigned. Manage shift roster and annual leave to maintain shift coverage onsite. Carry out GEMBA walks with maintenance technicians to ensure site SOP compliance. Qualifications/Work Experience: Engineering / Trade Qualification with experience working within a similar role. Experience with modern maintenance management methods and techniques. Experienced in managing a maintenance team with responsibility for motivating, influencing, coaching the team on day to day technical and operations matters. Proven ability to deal with disciplinary matters within the team. Experience in composing investigation documentation. Ability to train new starts on systems and safety regulations. Experience working within a Regulated Manufacturing Environment is required but Pharma is not essential.
