    Overview Specialist Engineer - Dublin Airport Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 An exciting opportunity is now available to join the ESP specialist engineer team at Dublin airport in the position of E-Gate specialist, supporting electronic passport machines at T1 and T2. This role is reporting directly into the Specialist Engineering Team Leader. Responsibilities Proactive maintenance activity & visual checks: Carry out regular floor-walking and proactive line-of-sight checks to identify and resolve issues associated with the specialist equipment, ensure document validation equipment is clean and free from debris, replacing worn parts as necessary on a daily basis, and discuss with the officers to ensure they do not have any issues. Respond to customer incidents assigned by the Global Service Desk and resolve within agreed SLAs. Calls logged in ServiceNow will notify the engineer via mobile and be acknowledged by the engineer who will then attend to resolve. Fault diagnosis: Carry out full diagnosis of hardware, software and electrical problems using specialist diagnostic tools as per training procedures and documentation provided. Updating open incidents: Engineer will update open tickets by adding notes via the phone app and/or taking calls from service desk team members and providing status updates. Escalate for additional support using the escalation procedure for assistance across local and global expert teams. Spares management: Ensure accuracy on quantities, locations and availability of parts onsite for speedy repair and incident resolution. Excellent communicator: Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues, ensuring awareness of expected resolution time and planned next steps. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical operations / IT field engineer role. Good knowledge and experience in IT hardware, Microsoft Desktop software & network fundamentals. Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new changes or situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr

  • Overview Field Services Engineer, Dublin ESP Global Services are currently recruiting a Field Services Engineer to join our team in the Dublin area. We are a managed service provider for IT support and infrastructure solutions where we support clients, worldwide, 24/7. Working as the Field Services Engineer you will represent ESP in providing 1st and 2nd line support for both hardware and software issues for all customer contracts located within your assigned region. This role will be based from home, primarily covering Dublin and surrounding areas and occasionally sites across other regions. A Snapshot Of What You Will Be Doing Provide desktop support including troubleshooting basic hardware and standard software operating system issues and problems. Providing holiday cover and support into our busy Airport locations adapting to working a variable shift pattern. Install and troubleshoot desktops, printers, laptop and other computer peripherals, hardware problems as well as desktop applications. Perform computer “Break / Fix” support and installation, add, move or change requirements for peripherals and device drivers. Perform desk-side support including basic administration of Operating Systems and common off the shelf software systems. Complete all assigned calls with professionalism and technical expertise, providing quality customer service and support for designated equipment. Monitor assigned service calls to ensure quality and service level goals are achieved in a timely manner. Complete all administrative duties including updating of tickets in ESP’s or Customer’s call management system. Escalate problems to the appropriate next level of support when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in installing, upgrading, building, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, diagnosing and preventative maintenance. Up to 2 years’ direct PC and laptop hardware service experience. Proficiency in desktop support including knowledge of current operating systems. Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP. May be able to carry out complex or more difficult service tasks with detailed script and technical assistance. Able to work in various locations at short notice. Flexibility to work days and night shifts across a 12-hour shift, as we support airports 24/7. Good written and oral communications skills with customers and management. Strong customer service ethos. 5 years checkable working or educational history which can be referenced for airside clearance checks. Working Hours This role is primarily Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm. Due to the nature of our airport support contracts, flexibility is essential.
