  • Position Description The Programming & Reporting Manager is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of renewable and major customer connections projects with ESB Networks delivery functions. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to; Programme management, managing multiple renewable and major connection projects which have dynamic deadlines, overseeing multiple deliverables and a series of related dependencies that evolve as individual projects develop.   • Regional Auditor, South West Region

    Position Description The Regional Auditor is responsible for providing assurance & support to the Regional Delivery teams in relation to safety performance on site of contractors and their interface with staff. They will co-ordinate and manage the annual regional auditing plan to ensure that audits are completed in line with KPIs. These duties are defined in the Company Standard: Roles and Responsibilities for Managing CPG Framework Contractors (DOC-121118-EIF). They will have a particular focus for ensuring best practice management and support in relation to poling both LIVE and DEAD, ensuring poling standards & procedures are implemented & complied with. They will support both the supervisor & contractors to increase levels of LIVE poling and assist with assessments where required by CPG. They will also be responsible for completing and co-ordinating audits on other contractors completing work on behalf of the regional delivery teams including, trenching & ducting etc. Key Responsibilities Contractor Management Support: Ensure day to day safety oversight of contractors working for the regional delivery teams including: DEAD Poling, LIVE Poling Trenching and Ducting Traffic management Out of Programme Timber Ensure Safe Systems of Work are being used by contractors and support embedding / compliance with contractor management procedures Provide the Region with independent and objective measures of current compliance by contractors. Develop and maintain effective relationships with all managers & supervisors in the region, all contractors, the Competence and Assurance team and CPG. Support local managers to help them keep appropriate files and records with the view to effective safety, technical and performance reviews with contractors. Provide guidance and support on Technical & Safety issues for contractors and ESBN staff working with contractors Work with local managers and supervisors to embed MV & LV LIVE poling as the norm in all areas and ensure that it is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. National Input Work with National Safety Teams including Risk & Compliance, CPG, Competence and Assurance Teams, LIVE Working Manager etc. to identify and rectify any safety & technical gaps that may arise in contractor processes.   • Position Description This is an opportunity to work as part of a leading-edge team in Ireland's only pumped storage hydro power station located at Turlough Hill, and in our 3 traditional hydro power stations on the River Liffey. We have been generating electricity on the Liffey since 1944, and at Turlough Hill since 1974. Our stations have a combined generating capacity of 330MW. The stations asset management team play a pivotal role in ensuring the stations commercial / technical performance is optimised. Liffey and Turlough Hill stations are made up of 4 separate generating locations; 292MW of pumped storage at Turlough Hill and 38MW of hydro generation at Poulaphuca, Golden Falls and Leixlip. This comprises 9 power turbines and all the associated dams, gates and civil structures associated with the river Liffey hydroelectric scheme and Turlough Hill. The team member will be required to work across all functional areas including maintenance, operations, technical services, facilities, civil and dam safety, supervision, and contractor management.   • Position Description Network Assets are responsible for the asset management of ESB Networks portfolio of network assets, including substations, lines and cables and represent the asset owner. The Network Assets team play a key role in defining the design and maintenance policies and standards for the network to ensure a resilient network for all our customers. We play a key role in prioritising network renewal investment and maintenance on our assets based on data driven approaches and technical know-how. This position is within the HV substations team which defines maintenance policy and standards in relation to substation maintenance on our distribution assets, develops appropriate maintenance solutions to deliver appropriate levels of performance over the asset life cycle and provides support to maintenance delivery functions on maintenance solutions.     The Generation Engineering department in Engineering and Major Projects is the Centre of Engineering for ESB's generation businesses and provides consultancy services in generation technology for external and international clients.
