As a Senior Software Engineer in AI, you will research, experiment, and build reusable AI frameworks, tools, and reference implementations that our teams can use to deliver AI-powered capabilities quickly and safely. You will prototype, validate, and deliver AI solutions, while also shaping architectural standards and enabling teams to adopt them effectively. The ideal candidate will excel in applying artificial intelligence to Telecom use cases and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Python, cloud-native technologies, and modern software engineering practices.**What you will do** • Research latest advancements in AI, cloud infra, Kubernetes or related fields, and rapidly prototype and evaluate new approaches through proofs of concept and experiments • Engineer and evolve reusable AI frameworks, libraries, and tooling using state-of-the-art software engineering techniques, with a strong focus on Python and cloud-native development • Partner with engineering teams to shape AI use cases, select appropriate architectural patterns and provide hands-on support during early implementation phases • Contribute to AI strategy, architectural guidelines, and best practices and help define approved AI components, services, and integration patterns • Operate and optimise existing solutions in any cloud environment, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness. • Apply critical thinking to analyse requirements, architect solutions, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI solutions, algorithms, and engineering processes • Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools and libraries as needed, applying rigorous software engineering standards • Optimise and fine-tune generative models for performance, scalability, and accuracy, leveraging strong programming and analytical skills • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, production-ready deliverables • Mentor and guide junior team members in AI, machine learning, and software engineering best practices• Typically 5+ years of software engineering or equivalent practical experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. • Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems (GenAI (LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering) and classical ML (training, inference)) • Experience integrating AI models into real-world applications • Proficiency in Python, and familiarity with common AI frameworks and platforms (e.g. PyTorch, LangChain etc.). • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), containerisation (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). • Good understanding of deep learning architectures, neural networks, and natural language processing (NLP). • Experience with data preprocessing, augmentation, and handling large datasets. • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders**Preferred Skills** • Advanced programming skills in Python and proficiency with AI/ML frameworks • Hands on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure and AWS • Understanding of software development best practices, Git, CI/CD, agile methodologies and DevOps principles • Experience deploying and operating AI services at scale (rollout/rollback, autoscaling, cost controls) • Proficiency in other backend languages is an advantage (Java, Go, TypeScript) • Publications or contributions to the AI/ML or software engineering community are a plus**Why Join Us** • Work on high-impact AI initiatives that shape how the organization builds AI products and solutions • Build foundational AI capabilities rather than one-off features • Collaborate with experienced engineers, researchers, and product teams • Influence AI strategy, architecture, and best practices across the company**How We Measure Success** • Product teams adopt and reuse AI tooling and patterns you build • Time from AI idea to working prototype decreases • AI solutions are easier to deploy, operate, and scale • Your work enables others to deliver AI-powered value fasterTop skillsAngularAgile MethodologyAPISoftware EngineeringSoftware Development ProcessSQLRouting and SwitchingREST APIJava SwingJava Spring BootPreviously worked as1.
