Job description
As Simulator Pilot, you will act as a pseudo pilot to our Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) students in training. Your main responsibility is to operate the desktop simulator with the clearances and instructions given by the ATCOs.
Responsibilities
Make initial inputs to the simulator
Ensure that the simulated aircraft adhere to the controller's instructions and exercise objectives
Make radio calls for aircraft
Training and Schedule
The role includes a three‑week training period starting on 25 May. You must be available for the full three weeks. After training, you may be able to combine this role with studies or another job. Working shifts are Monday to Friday, usually from 09:30 am to 05:30 pm, although hours offered may not follow a regular pattern or schedule. You may refuse hours that are unsuitable.
Employment Terms
This is an employment contract on a mutual agreement basis. Hours are offered when there is high demand for pilots. You may not receive hours for long periods of time. We will endeavour to provide a minimum of three weeks notice when hours are available, but you may be offered hours on short notice if an operational need arises.
Compensation
The salary is €15.50 per hour. Employment is subject to successful completion of the training period and Garda Vetting procedures.
Qualifications
Ability to work well in a team environment and naturally adapt to change
Excellent communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
Interest in aviation
Permit to work in Ireland
Good PC skills, as the Air Traffic Control simulator uses a desktop PC
Minimum age 18
