    Job Description
    As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining Operational Telecommunication Networks for various utility sectors.Work with sales teams to design, provision, and operate Operational Telecommunication Networks. Collaborate with project management offices to deliver network solutions on time, on budget, and with high quality. Provide level 2 and level 3 support to clients, analyzing and solving network incidents. Investigate network performance issues, develop plans to address them, and implement solutions. Perform equipment configuration, provide support for field deployment, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Monitor, react, and troubleshoot client network issues in the Network Operations Center (NOC). Assess risk of adds and changes with clients, plan cutovers, and carry out regular preventive maintenance inspections. Create and maintain documentation, including network architecture drawings. Act as a technology champion, driving change, developing new service offerings, and finding innovative ways to use existing infrastructure.

    RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications networking within utility services. Proven ability to take a leadership role, set standards, and resolve technical issues. Working familiarity with Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, and Over The Air (OTA) communication devices. Experience developing standards, functional specifications, and test procedures. Experience working with Incident and Change Management systems. Design experience in creating and maintaining resilient, high availability network services. Experience in installation and commissioning.

    Essential SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, carriers, and outsourced Service Providers. Diplomacy and high emotional intelligence in setting expectations and working with internal and external customers. Strong time management skills and ability to quickly assess situations and re-prioritize. Experience with designing and implementing LAN and WAN. Proven experience with software related to telecommunications systems. Hands-on experience in PC operating systems and network handling. VPN configuration and firewall management.
