We are currently recruiting an experienced Energy Consultancy Supervisor (POD Lead) based in Limerick / Cork region. The successful candidate will lead teams in planning and carrying out technical energy audits, surveys and projects to make energy use more efficient and improve utility systems at Industrial Manufacturing sites in the Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Bio-pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries. Role Responsibilities & Description: As the Team Supervisor, your role involves managing an Energy team providing energy management services and developing energy efficiency solutions for large-scale manufacturing facilities, from the early conceptual stage and supporting through detailed design to implementation. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to facilitate project implementation across industrial manufacturing sites. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities: Lead a team of Energy Engineers delivering multiple projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Support the development of junior engineers through training, coaching, and mentoring. Managing project delivery including resources, timeline, budget and quality. Lead/support technical energy audits, surveys, and assist in project implementation on industrial sites. Implement energy performance improvements in systems including Chillers, Refrigeration, Heat Pumps, Steam, HVAC, and process technologies. Carry out energy opportunities surveys and prepare energy consumption calculations. Develop decarbonisation strategies for clients in line with legislative and corporate requirements. Provide top-level financial justifications for various projects. Identify anomalies and opportunities in energy consumption profiles. Develop identified opportunities into concepts and present reports to client organisations. Optimize existing energy infrastructure and review alternative/renewable energy feasibility. Measurement & Verification of energy reductions. Coordinate the delivery of project, consultancy and engineering services for our clients. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, and project implementation of Utilities systems including either HVAC, cooling process and refrigeration, steam / hot water, heat pumps and heat recovery, CHP, renewables. Other requirements include: Honours Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline. Min 4+ years relevant Industry experience. Experience with industrial facilities such as Dairy, Nutrition, Pharma, Biopharma & Medical Device manufacturing facilities. Ability to identify and quantify energy-saving opportunities in the industrial and commercial sectors. Strong supervisory and/or management experience is required. Knowledge and experience in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting, and energy modelling. CEA/CEM or equivalent an advantage. A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects. The ability to lead, use initiative and be self-motivated. Good working knowledge of MS office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Full Driving Licence required. EUETS experience an advantage. Good knowledge of IPMVP. Good working knowledge of environment, health and safety legislation requirements. Role Responsibilities & Description The role of the energy engineer is to lead/support technical energy audits, surveys and assist in project implementation across industrial manufacturing sites in Ireland and globally. Work with Energy management partners to deliver projects providing direct energy benefits and innovative funding options (grants/credit schemes). Review energy reports to identify discrepancies in usage patterns and to extract energy savings opportunities from the usage patterns. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities Carry out energy opportunities surveys Prepare energy consumption calculations Make top level financial justifications for various projects Review weekly energy reports Identify anomalies and opportunities. Develop opportunities into concepts. Present reports to client organisations Optimisation of existing energy infrastructure & review alternative/renewable energy feasibility Verification of energy performance improvement Identify and resolve data bugs Coordinating on the delivery of project, consultancy and/or engineering services for EM3 clients. Support the development of junior engineers through training, coaching and mentoring. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Interactions The person shall participate fully in all necessary interaction to fulfil and develop his function within the business. He/she must make regular accounts of his activity He/she must prepare daily timesheets recording time spent and activity Other Skills, Experience 3+ years’ experience in energy engineering Good working knowledge of MS office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Knowledge and experience in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting, and energy modeling through the life cycle and capital cost/benefits analysis. Good working knowledge of environment, health and safety legislation requirements. Good knowledge of IPMVP. Professional Engineering Licence Experience with industrial facilities such as Dairy, Nutrition, Pharma, Biopharma & Medical Device manufacturing facilities. Ability to identify and quantify energy-saving opportunities in the industrial and commercial sectors. Fluency in other languages an advantage. Education Minimum – Third level QQI Level 8 qualification in engineering discipline preferably Energy engineering or a related discipline. Working with Energy management partners to deliver projects providing direct energy benefits and innovative funding options (grants/credit schemes). Primary Tasks and Responsibilities : Electrical design of energy efficiency solutions for large scale manufacturing facilities. We implement energy performance improvements that include systems such as Chillers, Refrigeration, Heat Pumps, Combined Heat & Power, Heat Recovery, HVAC, Steam and Hot Water Systems and process technologies including Utilities Plant Room design. Working with our client sites and our existing design teams to ensure EM3 continues to bring innovative design solutions to address climate action challenges. Ensuring quality design deliverables are produced to allow climate action solutions to be successfully implemented in client sites. Supporting relationships with clients in the Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Bio-pharmaceutical and healthcare space both in Ireland and internationally. Managing the performance of the design team on the project to ensure the client metrics for budget, schedule and energy performance are achieved. Liaising with contractors and technology supply partners that would be integral to large-scale industrial energy efficiency projects. Prepare and communicate progress reports on the design process. Resolve technical challenges as they arise during the design and construction phase of projects. Other Skills, Experience : 3+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline. Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency with AutoCAD is an advantage. Good working knowledge of building regulations and CIBSE/ASHRAE design codes. Good working knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation requirements. Education A third level qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably Electrical, Building Services or a related discipline.
