  • Validation Engineer  

    - Cavan

    Ellab Ireland provide leading validation, monitoring and calibration solutions and services across all major pharmaceutical sites. We are currently recruiting for Field Service Validation Engineer for our team based out of Whitegate, in Co, Cavan. Full or supplemental training will be provided on all equipment and thermal mapping services. Responsibilities Set up of Ellab equipment. Author, review, approve and execute validation documentation including protocols, summary reports, procedures, other lifecycle documents. Performing temperature mapping and validation of equipment such as autoclaves, fridges, freezers, incubators, stability cabinets in a sterile manufacturing environment. Analyse and interpret data from qualification studies and determine if it meets acceptance criteria. Troubleshooting customer and Ellab equipment. Reading P&ID’s effectively and following SOP’s. Experience & Requirements 3rd Level Qualification within Engineering/Pharmaceutical Science or similar. 3+ years of relevant experience. Fluent spoken and written English is a must. Knowledge of GMP. An interest in developing a career within validation industry. Be able to work on your own initiative. Attention to detail with a common-sense approach to problem solving. Ellab Ireland Calibration Technicians work across the Pharmaceutical and Biotech sectors and with the contractors and manufacturers allied to these industries. Being part of the Field Service Team, your work will be Nationwide and will be on the road, so a full driver\'s license is essential. Responsibilities In line with the job outlined above, the following are typically the key tasks that would be expected of the role: Execution of calibrations as per site schedule and site procedures. Execution of scheduled and unscheduled work orders, where appropriate, as per site schedule and site procedures. Troubleshoot problems with instrumentation as necessary and as directed by site supervisors. Carry out risk assessment of instrumentation calibration steps and ensure these are always kept valid. Enter calibration certs onto the site Computerized Calibration Management System if applicable, as directed by the Site Instrumentation Manager. Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner in compliance with GMP and FDA. Work with operation teams as required facilitating calibration activities. Carry out calibrations in a safe and timely manner. Carry out corrective/reactive maintenance on instrumentation as requested. Support continuous improvement and promote quality and customer service. Report work carried out in compliance with site-based reporting tools. To be available and to undertake any site required training. Update “PM” schedule as required. Update site system database as required. Manage and prioritise workload to ensure that assigned activities are completed effectively and on time. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a National Craft Cert qualified in the trade of Instrumentation, or equivalent 3rd level qualification. A good knowledge of Calibration Systems and Automation/Controls system. Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc. They will also possess excellent communication/documentation and interpersonal skills, additionally crucial qualifications include strong organisational and time management skills, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and a customer-centric mindset.
