Job Purpose This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Business Analysts to be part of a team that serves as the primary interface for business engagement in delivering project and service portfolios. In this role, you will work closely with Business Change teams and business experts to analyse concepts and crystallise them into deliverable solutions by developing requirements and other analyst artefacts. This may involve understanding internal requirements, and changes from national and EU requirements, while identifying gaps and solutions to support 80% renewable electricity targets. As the Business Analyst, you will move between traditional waterfall methods and agile approaches. This is a cross-functional group-wide role requiring collaboration with stakeholders across the business to deliver successful outcomes. You will have an interest in developing skills across a broad range of emerging technologies, including power systems, electricity markets, or digital transformation. Key Responsibilities Conduct business analysis across transformation projects in market management, energy management and/or corporate solutions. Gather requirements from key stakeholders, translating complex requirements into deliverable specifications. Input to development of business cases and proposals. Lead formal requirements gathering sessions and workshops with both technical and non-technical staff. Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, strategic partners and vendors to deliver solutions aligned to business strategy. Identify risks, gaps and issues; facilitate prioritisation to enable informed decisions. Produce required documentation including business conceptual overviews, user stories, business capability analysis, data flows, system integration flows, process maps and functional specifications. Develop business requirements documentation from draft through sign-off, complying with methodologies and governance processes. Work with the business to develop functional requirements to support solution designs. Assist the business with change impacts analysis, training strategies, planning and execution. Manage change requests throughout the lifecycle of developments, projects and operational changes. Provide innovative ideas and solutions drawing on external best practice and expertise. Knowledge, Skills And Experience Degree in engineering, business, economics or related qualifications, with 5+ years of practical analysis experience (requirements gathering, creating specifications, workshop facilitation, business process design, reports design, and business process modelling); ideally but not necessarily in the utility or energy sectors. Experience in writing and presenting technical and non-technical reports. Understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Detail-oriented with the ability to understand customer needs. Ability to operate with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
