You’ll work hands‑on with a modern Python stack to build and improve the systems that power our customer analytics platform. This role sits at the heart of our engineering team, where you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and well‑crafted software. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain the APIs, services, and databases that drive EdgeTier’s core product. Contribute to technical discussions and help shape architecture decisions. Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code. Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate cross‑functionally with frontend, data, and product teams. Take ownership of your work from design through release and monitoring. Typical work breakdown Developing new features: 40% Reviewing pull requests: 20% Fixing bugs and maintaining features: 15% Discussing design and architecture: 10% Testing/releasing features: 5% Monitoring performance and logs: 5% Improving developer tooling: 5% What You’ll Bring 3–5 years of professional experience with Python, ideally building web applications. Solid understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and experience with SQLAlchemy or a similar ORM. Familiarity with REST APIs and backend architecture. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team’s goals. Nice to have Experience with Flask (or FastAPI/Django). Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
