This position is available immediately. Meal Preparation Plan, prepare and cook balanced meals and snacks suitable for children of various age groups. Adapt meals to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies and cultural preferences. Health & Safety Maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation and storage areas. Adhere to HACCAP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) Guidelines and food safety regulations. Comply with guidelines within the Safe Catering Plan and document accordingly. Regularly clean kitchen equipment and utensils. Ensure all catering related accidents are reported immediately to the manager and all the accident policies and procedures are followed accordingly. Inventory Management Work closely with management to design menus that meet nutritional standards and budgets. Communicate with staff and parents about meal plans and special dietary needs. Qualifications and Experience Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare, school or healthcare setting. Knowledge of HACCAP and food safety regulations. A certificate in food hygiene or willingness to complete training. Key Skills and Attributes Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to prepare meals that are both nutritious and appealing to children. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
