  • The Senior Production Planner plays a crucial role in leading, optimizing production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity requirements of live orders, backlog and sales pipelines. This role involves leading planners and collaborating with various departments including the sales and project teams and the global LOB team to ensure efficient resource utilization, meeting on-time production demands, and maintaining a balance between supply and demand. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team at our Burnfoot facility in County Donegal. Responsibilities Distribute work to the different teams on the floor Keep record of projects on the Floor and track their progress Having daily meetings with the Production team leaders to assess progress on jobs Work to a timed Production Schedule Look after the employees holidays after they get their holiday request sheet signed by the Manager Conduct 5's checks on each Dept. to ensure adequate house keeping Upkeep of the ISO9001 standard and conduct daily checks Liaise with BSI Auditor Clock in reports & time keeping issues Conduct interviews for Production floor Conduct all return to work Conduct / sit-in in all Disciplinary hearings Qualifications A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing industry. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. The Production Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity requirements of live orders, backlog and sales pipelines. This role involves collaborating with various departments including the sales and project teams and the global LOB team to ensure efficient resource utilization, meeting on-time production demands, and maintaining a balance between supply and demand. This position requires strong collaboration, a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and effective communication to contribute to the overall success of the production process. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain accurate plans, records and KPI of production schedules. Analyze production schedules, historical data, and market demand to develop accurate capacity plans. Collaborate with production, sales, and supply chain teams to understand current and future production requirements. Continuously monitor and adjust forecasts to reflect changes in demand or production capabilities. Liaise with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on market trends, customer demands, and potential disruptions. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production plans with the Busbar LOB goals. Monitor production performance against capacity plans and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify and analyze production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Proactively identify potential risks to production capacity and develop contingency plans. Work with stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies. Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance production efficiency and capacity utilization. Generate regular reports on production capacity performance and present findings to relevant stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in production planning, capacity planning, or a related role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Excel and smartsheet skills.
