About the job Contract: Full Time Permanent. Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7-day liability – Monday to Sunday, Days & Nights. Salary: From €33.500 per year, depending on experience – plus 12% allowance on nights. Location: Bray/Wicklow town (Public transport, free car park). Flexibility and adaptability are core personality for this role; you must be available to cover a mix of day shifts, night shifts, and weekends across three services in Wicklow. Your responsibilities Support project/key workers and management in implementing operational and strategic goals, including following up on support‑plan actions and helping service users achieve their goals. Build professional relationships of trust with all service users and residents and treat them with dignity and respect. Provide therapeutic and diversionary interventions that offer emotional and motivational support, promoting positive mental‑health attitudes, self‑esteem, and self‑respect. Liaise with a range of service providers in the voluntary and public sectors (e.g., housing providers, health‑care professionals, and social welfare agencies) and expand services to meet physical and mental health needs. Deliver the personal, professional, and social development programme. Assist in managing medication/health regimes, accessing primary and secondary health‑care, liaising with GPs, pharmacists, methadone providers, arranging appointments, and accompanying users to appointments. Process all incoming enquiries and referrals to accommodation of service users. Support service users in liaising with landlords and facilitate relocations. Complete daily duties such as assisting clients, supporting them in mental and physical health matters, ensuring bathing and washing clothing, and cleaning for general building upkeep. Ensure safe and healthy functioning of each building, covering fire safety, hazard management, building checks, sharps disposal, and challenging behaviour management. Manage complex and challenging behaviour, conflict management, and ensure residents adhere to accommodation agreements. Carry out administrative duties: managing petty cash, electronic and paper record keeping, filing, answering phone queries. Ensure consistent handovers, diary, incident reports, and follow‑ups in line with organisational policies. Ensure services and projects comply with organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines in areas such as fire safety, confidentiality, child protection, data protection, admissions, case management, and disengagement. Undertake other related duties as reasonably assigned by the line manager. Essential for the role Level 6, 7 or 8 in a relevant field with 6 months experience in a similar setting (including voluntary work and college placement). Level 5 in a relevant field with 12 months experience in a similar setting (including voluntary work and college placement). Flexibility to work in an agile environment. Willingness to learn. Experience in carrying out health & safety inspections and audits.
