We are a leading player in the MRO market in Europe and have established ourselves as a high quality, reliable service provider. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, focused and dynamic IT Manager seeking a role in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Based in our Head Office at Dublin Airport and reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's ICT infrastructure for its Irish and UK Operations, ensuring network security and reliability, leading ERP projects, and driving modernisation initiatives. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, network performance, cyber security, user support, systems continuity and third‑party technology relationships. They will also play a key role in planning for the future, including the review and eventual implementation of upgraded business systems and ERP solutions. IT Operations and Infrastructure Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across Ireland and the UK, including servers, networks, firewalls, connectivity, end‑user devices and business‑critical systems. Ensure high availability, stability and performance of systems, including legacy Unix‑based platforms. Oversee LAN, WAN, VPN and remote‑access services. Manage hardware and software lifecycles, procurement, licensing, renewals and replacements. Maintain accurate documentation of systems architecture, procedures and support arrangements. Implement technologies that enhance performance, reliability and efficiency. Liaise with all business units on IT and SaaS requirements. Cyber Security and Risk Management Lead the organisation’s cyber security posture across network security, access management, MFA, endpoint protection and identity control. Monitor threats and vulnerabilities and apply proportionate safeguards aligned with business risk. Ensure robust disaster recovery, backup integrity and incident response readiness. Manage external cyber security providers, auditors and specialist support. Drive cyber awareness, training and policy adherence across the organisation. Systems Support and Business Continuity Ensure responsive, prioritised user support across all sites. Implement structured service processes and escalation arrangements. Lead IT business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing and maintenance. Reduce single points of failure through process improvement, documentation and knowledge sharing. Technology Modernisation and ERP Readiness Assess the existing technology landscape and identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities. Support development of an ICT roadmap aligned with business growth and operational requirements. Lead continuous improvement of DALSys and play a key role in evaluating and implementing future ERP or core systems. Ensure ERP and related systems integrate effectively with business processes and support user training. Manage relationships with vendors, consultants and implementation partners. Drive digital transformation initiatives. Governance, Budgeting and Vendor Management Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring appropriate investment and cost control. Negotiate and manage third‑party contracts, licences, telecoms services and maintenance agreements. Support development and enforcement of policies for cyber security, access control, acceptable use, backup, retention and disaster recovery. Provide clear reporting to senior management on IT performance, risks, projects and major issues. Travel between Irish and UK sites as required. Qualifications, Skills and Experience (Essential) Third level Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years’ experience in IT management or senior infrastructure roles within a multi‑site organisation. Hands‑on experience with networks, firewalls, cyber security controls, system administration and access management. Experience supporting and modernising legacy systems as well as delivering new technology initiatives. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, backup/recovery tools and endpoint management. Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Exposure to ERP systems and involvement in systems development, improvement or implementation. Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and IT service providers. Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills. Experience leading or mentoring IT staff, with a collaborative and service‑driven approach. Desirable Experience with Unix or Unix‑based legacy systems. Experience in regulated, engineering, manufacturing or operational environments. Experience supporting operations across Ireland and the UK. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft or Cisco. Personal Attributes Calm, credible and practical operator with a strong sense of ownership. Able to balance immediate operational priorities with long‑term planning. Clear communicator able to translate technical matters for non‑technical colleagues.
