  • Senior Business Development Manager

    - Dublin Pike

The Opportunity As Senior Business Development Manager, you will own a portfolio of high‑value dealer relationships across the Midlands, Leinster and Dublin. You will lead account reviews, identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, position our new website product as a strategic asset for your dealers, and represent DoneDeal Cars on the road across one of our most commercially significant patches. The Patch This is a Field Sales role covering the Midlands, Leinster (including Carlow and Kilkenny) and parts of Dublin. You will manage approximately 130 dealer accounts spanning independent dealers, franchise sites, and regional dealer groups. The territory is a mix of established relationships, growth opportunities, and competitive accounts where there is a competitor’s foothold we want to challenge. What will I be doing Own Your Patch Manage a portfolio of approximately 130 dealer accounts across the Midlands, Leinster and Dublin. Conduct structured account reviews—face‑to‑face, top‑to‑bottom assessments of performance, feature adoption, ROI, and growth opportunities. Be the primary commercial point of contact for your dealers—known, trusted, and visible on the ground. Drive Revenue Growth Deliver against monthly and quarterly revenue targets through package upgrades, feature adoption, and our upsell cycle. Identify and progress cross‑sell opportunities including ad packs, bumps, spots, and emerging product lines. Communicate Value Translate platform performance data—leads delivered, conversion, ROI—into commercial conversations dealers can act on. Address the perception gap: many dealers underestimate the value DoneDeal delivers. Your job is to make that value visible, in their numbers, in every meeting. Use peer benchmarking, performance trends and feature adoption data to anchor every review in evidence, not relationship alone. Strategic Contribution Bring patch‑level insight into commercial strategy—what dealers are saying, what's working, what's at risk, and where competitors are gaining ground. Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Customer Success on campaigns, feature launches and dealer‑facing initiatives. Mentor BDM colleagues and contribute to the development of a high‑performing, structured field‑sales function. What skills and experience do I need 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience , ideally within automotive, digital media, or another high‑value subscription business. Strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets in an account management or new business role. Existing relationships in the Irish motor industry are a significant advantage—particularly within the dealer community in Leinster, the Midlands or Dublin. Comfortable on the road —full clean Irish driving licence required. Two to three days per week visiting dealers across the patch is standard. Data‑confident —comfortable interpreting and presenting performance data, ROI calculations, and benchmarking insights to dealers as the basis for commercial conversations. Resilient negotiator —able to handle price objections, pressure from competitors, and lead complex multi‑stakeholder negotiations within dealer groups. Self‑organised and pipeline‑disciplined —confident with CRM (Salesforce experience an advantage), structured cadence management, and hitting reporting commitments without being chased. Strategic mindset —spots opportunities others miss, connects insight to action, and contributes beyond the patch to wider commercial thinking. Tech‑curious —genuinely interested in how digital marketing, websites, and dealer technology are evolving—and able to translate that into a credible point of view with customers. Why Join Us Market leadership —over 90% market share among Irish dealers and a clear roadmap of new products to deepen that position. Strategic moment —we are launching a website product that will reshape how Irish dealers compete online. You will be at the front of that conversation. A real patch with real autonomy —Midlands/Leinster/Dublin is one of our highest‑potential territories. You will own it. Hybrid and remote‑first —field‑based with regular in‑person dealer time on your patch, plus team days, training and key meetings at our Dublin HQ. No daily commute required. Culture of collaboration —award‑winning cross‑functional teamwork. You will not be on your own. Benefits – what you can expect Life insurance, fully‑paid healthcare and a 5% contribution towards your pension. Fully paid healthcare coverage and pension contributions. Dedicated focus on your health and wellbeing, with support throughout your career and beyond. Equal Opportunity We are a diverse bunch of people here in Distilled, and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our Company. We do not discriminate based on gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race and membership of the Traveller community. #J-18808-Ljbffr

  • The Opportunity At DoneDeal Cars we are Ireland's number one car marketplace, with over 90% of Irish dealerships advertising on our platform. Dealers in our 2025 Dealer Survey voted us the number one place to sell cars — for leads, ease of use, ad‐boosting tools, and customer service. We are looking for an experienced Field Sales professional to provide maternity cover for one of our established Field Sales Managers. This is the kind of role that suits someone with strong commercial experience who wants to step into a high‑quality book of accounts, deliver in a defined window, and make a real impact at a market‑leading company. It is also a chance to demonstrate yourself in a business that is growing — with the potential for permanent opportunities to emerge as the team expands. The Patch You will inherit a portfolio of approximately 120 dealer accounts in an established Field Sales territory. Handover will include in‑person introductions to top accounts, structured Account Reviews completed jointly with the existing Field Sales Manager before her leave begins, and full briefing on ongoing campaigns, commitments, and live opportunities. What will I be doing Hold the Patch Take ownership of approximately 120 dealer accounts during the maternity leave period. Maintain the established Account Review cadence. Manage handover from the returning manager at end of contract — clean notes, clear status, no surprises. Deliver Commercial Performance Deliver against monthly and quarterly revenue targets through package upgrades, feature adoption, and the September/October upsell cycle. Communicate Value Translate platform performance data — leads delivered, conversion, ROI — into commercial conversations dealers can act on. Make our value visible in every meeting through performance data, peer benchmarking and feature adoption insights. Anchor every Account Review in evidence, not relationship alone. What skills and experience do I need 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally with field‑based account management exposure. Automotive or digital media background is a strong advantage but not essential. Track record of managing dealer or customer portfolios with a structured cadence of meetings, reviews and pipeline activity. Comfortable being dropped into an existing book — able to build trust with established customers quickly and credibly. Full clean Irish driving licence required. Two to three days per week visiting dealers across the patch is standard. Data‑confident. Comfortable using performance data, ROI numbers and benchmarking to drive commercial conversations. Self‑organised. Comfortable with CRM (Salesforce experience an advantage) and able to keep a clean pipeline without being chased. Resilient and credible. Able to handle price objections and competitive pressure with confidence. Available immediately or with short notice. We need someone in seat in time to complete handover before the maternity leave begins. Why Take a Fixed‑Term Role with Us Real responsibility from day one. You will own a high‑quality portfolio with established relationships and clear targets. Market‑leading platform. Over 90% market share. Dealers want to talk to you. Visibility. A maternity cover role is not a hidden one. You will be working alongside our permanent team and represented at industry events, leadership reviews and strategic conversations. Hybrid and remote‑first. Field‑based with regular in‑person dealer time, team days, training and key meetings at our Dublin HQ. We are a diverse bunch of people here in Distilled, and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our Company. We do not discriminate based on gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race and membership of the Traveller community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
