Cafe Front of House Team Lead (Active, Hands-On Role) The Café @ Kehoes Homevalue is looking for an experienced Front of House Team Lead to manage the customer journey from the moment our customers walk up the stairs. This is a hands-on, floor-based role, with a strong focus on meet & greet, seating, table flow and ensuring the team are well organised working the floor and preparing orders. This role is full time position, working 5 days over 6 (Monday to Saturday), contracted to 35 hours per week, with shifts typically between 8am to 5pm. Key Responsibilities Warmly meet and greet all customers Manage seating, table allocation, and minimise waiting times Clearly communicate wait times and seating options to customers Coordinate, support, and direct the front of house team members during service to ensure smooth delivery Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation, ensuring compliance with food handling and hygiene standards Support service as needed (running food, clearing tables, customer care) Support training and onboarding of new team members Required Experience and Skills Previous experience in a café or hospitality as a front of house team lead (essential) A natural leader who enjoys being on the floor, not behind the scenes Energetic, reliable, and calm under pressure Strong communication skills with a positive, guest-focused mindset Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Passion for customer service and creating a positive team culture We offer A supportive, team-focused environment Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for development and progression Staff perks and excellent coffee
