Datacenter People is working with a leading data center commissioning firm to hire Commissioning Engineers for their projects across Europe. What the Job Involves... Provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities. Participate in the MEP design process. Witness the static and dynamic testing of complex mechanical systems. Perform Test Procedures. Prepare meeting minutes. Interact with contractors, interpreting design and specifications. Conduct site observation surveys and prepares field reports on the status of projects and completion of projects with respect to compliance to the plans and specifications. Prepare punch list reports and determines corrective measures for on‑site problems. Prepare general condition survey reports. Familiarise oneself with codes, local project regulations, construction practices and the latest equipment functional concepts. Obey all the projects safety requirements including specific on‑site regulations. Perform routine calculations. Act as project coordinator with other field engineers, coordinating printing, presentation and administration procedures. Review shop drawings and submittals. We're Looking for Someone Who... Has experience of commissioning mechanical or electrical systems within data centers. Is able to determine and interpret data from various sources such as external PQM waveforms, data logs etc. Fault finding/trouble‑shouting knowledge of various integrated systems such as HVAC/chillers/CRAC units. Is able to interpret overall design intent of integrated systems and advise on various operational aspects to ensure the system will perform correctly. This will be determined through both through design reviews and on‑site knowledge. Has working knowledge of network and communications – Modbus/ethernet, SCADA systems etc. Has an understanding of data center commissioning levels and the requirements to move from level‑to‑level. We're Looking for someone who… -A person who enjoys working with the complexity of an integral design from concept through to delivery stage; - B.Sc. or M.Sc. educated engineer (electrical or mechanical engineering); - Work permit for EU and residing in The Netherlands; - 5-10 years work experience in datacenter, hospital hot floors, marine or other mission critical installation industry. Previous experience with datacenters is preferred; - A team player who likes to solve complex technical problems and, even under pressure, - Willingness to travel abroad; - Awareness of machine safety & RAMS; - Knowledgeable in Visio, AutoCAD, Revit and other and Autodesk applications & MS Office; - Professional proficiency in Dutch and English, with proficiency in German or French would be beneficial; - Candidates who have experience in sustainability engineering have an advantage.
