    This role holds end-to-end accountability for the leadership and strategic direction of the Group sales agenda in Ireland, driving sustainable revenue growth and accelerating the performance of hotel sales teams across the region. The position will lead the Ireland Sales function through the development and execution of high-impact sales strategies, identification of new growth opportunities, and optimisation of the owned-segments business mix. Leveraging data-driven insights, the role will maximise commercial performance through direct leadership of the Deputy Head of Sales Ireland and close collaboration with the broader commercial leadership team. As a senior leader, the role will shape and embed a high-performance sales culture, strengthen key internal and external relationships, and develop talent to deliver against the company’s ambitious growth objectives. Success in this role requires exceptional sales leadership, with a strong focus on talent development and productivity optimisation, inspiring teams to consistently exceed targets through best-in-class processes, governance, standards, and enablement tools. Key Responsibilities Provide senior leadership and coaching to the Deputy Head of Sales Ireland, driving sustained performance and engagement across hotel sales teams. Play a critical role in the attraction, development, and retention of high-performing sales talent, including sponsorship of structured training and leadership development initiatives. Partner with the Group Director of Sales to define, align, and secure agreement on group-managed and owned-segment budgets, with tailored strategies by hotel and market. Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales an innovative, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative approach to growth. Champion and embed a high-performance culture through clear goal setting, performance management, and accountability frameworks. Maintain deep market and commercial insight through continuous analysis of customer trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics. Ensure the effective and timely delivery of customer solutions aligned to client objectives, supporting teams in complex negotiations and contract execution to maximise profitability. Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with senior internal stakeholders with particular focus on priority and “focus” hotels. Deliver comprehensive regional performance reporting, covering market trends, top clients, and owned business segments, in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Sales Ireland. Own end-to-end regional performance reporting, delivering accurate, insightful analysis that enables senior leadership to assess results, identify risks, and drive informed decisions. Support the Group Director of Sales in the planning and execution of strategic projects aligned to business priorities, including new hotel openings, acquisitions, and cross-functional initiatives. Act as a senior external representative of the Group, engaging with key industry bodies and associations. Provide clear, insight-led analysis and recommendations on market performance, risks, and opportunities to the Executive Team, Hotel Performance Committee, and organisational committees as required. Key Requirements 8 - 10 years' experience in strategic leadership, translating commercial planning into effective execution that delivers sustainable growth and measurable business results. Strong, credible leadership capability with the presence and influence to align, motivate, and drive performance across teams and stakeholders. Proven commitment to talent development, including structured approaches to training, career progression, and succession planning. Ability to design and implement scalable processes that optimise productivity, efficiency, and sales effectiveness.
