  • Position Summary An exciting role is available within a fast-expanding international organisation, offering the chance to play a hands-on role in shaping and strengthening group-wide finance operations. This position sits within the central finance function and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial data, effective cost tracking, and reliable reporting across multiple entities. You will work closely with colleagues across the business and internationally, contributing to clear, actionable financial insight that supports informed decision-making. Success in this role requires a blend of strong technical accounting expertise, confidence working with systems and data, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Core Duties and Accountabilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Compile periodic financial reports, including month-end and year-end outputs Deliver meaningful analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities Ensure accuracy and completeness of ledger entries and reconciliations Prepare commentary to support management understanding of results Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Coordinate the preparation of annual financial plans and ongoing forecasts Track actual performance against plans and explain deviations Assist teams with cost management and forward-looking financial insight Governance, Controls & Compliance Apply relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements Contribute to audit processes and respond to auditor queries Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal control frameworks Oversee reconciliation and reporting of fixed assets and inventory Cost Management & Performance Measurement Evaluate cost structures and profitability across products or services Monitor financial KPIs and support performance reporting Assist with commercial initiatives such as pricing reviews, investment appraisals, and efficiency projects Business Partnering & Process Improvement Act as a finance point of contact for operational and management teams Translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders Support continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting tools Coordinate with other group entities to resolve intercompany matters Candidate Profile Technical Background & Experience Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) At least two years experience in industry and/or professional services Strong systems capability, with advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI or similar tools Proven ability to analyse complex data and present clear conclusions Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Personal Qualities Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement, and professionalism Curious and proactive, with a practical, solutions-focused approach Adaptable and comfortable working to tight or shifting deadlines Collaborative by nature and contributes positively within a team environment Driven, enthusiastic, and reliable in delivering high-quality work Committed to ongoing learning and professional growth Skills: Financial Accounting Management Accounting Benefits: Work From Home

  • About the job Overview An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished finance professional to take on a 12-month contract role leading financial planning and performance analysis during a period of strategic expansion. This position works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and plays a critical role in shaping financial insight, strengthening decision-making, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives. The remit covers forward-looking planning, performance reporting, financial governance, and contribution to strategic finance projects as they arise. Responsibilities Own and coordinate the organisation-wide budgeting cycle and periodic reforecasting activity. Build and manage forward-looking financial projections, including rolling forecasts and multi-year financial plans aligned with strategic priorities. Translate complex financial data into clear insights that inform executive and operational decision-making. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design financial models, assess commercial opportunities, and evaluate investment scenarios. Enhance reporting frameworks through improved consistency, automation, and analytical depth. Produce and deliver comprehensive financial updates for executive leadership and board-level audiences. Track financial performance against targets, providing variance analysis with clear interpretation and recommendations. Develop finance capability by mentoring team members and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Contribute to corporate development initiatives such as acquisitions, including financial assessment, integration support, and ongoing performance tracking. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Perform additional duties aligned with the needs of the finance function as required. Requirements 35 years experience in a senior financial planning, commercial finance, or similar leadership role. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CGMA or equivalent) with prior responsibility for overseeing core finance operations. Exceptional analytical capability with a high level of numerical accuracy and written clarity. Proven ability to lead, influence, and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Confident communicator, able to tailor messages for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proactive mindset with a strong drive for optimisation, innovation, and positive change. Adaptable and delivery-focused, comfortable working in dynamic and evolving environments. Demonstrated experience in fast-moving, spreadsheet-driven finance settings.
