We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Part‑Time / Full‑time Paediatric Nurse Manager for the Cavan / Monaghan area. This role will involve travel for home visits. The successful candidate will be a Registered Paediatric Nurse, with strong clinical skills. This role comprises both clinical and managerial responsibilities, with the key focus on the care and supervision of children living with enduring and life‑limiting conditions within the community. Key Role Clinical management of paediatric home care cases. Development of care plans, reporting and ongoing clinical management and supervision of children and staff. Staff selection for nursing and HCA panel. Conduct induction and organise appropriate training and monitoring as required. Ensure CPD of nursing/HCA panel is up to date and appropriate training scheduled. Supervise and assist with roster scheduling to ensure care delivery. Liaise with multi-disciplinary team pre and post discharge. Establish relationships and communication between families, HSE, nursing division and relevant stakeholders. Conduct visits to children/families/staff to review/monitor/update care plans and to support families/staff. Ensure policies, procedures and strict protocols are maintained. Reporting and communications. Support nursing/HCA staff. Support families in the community. Requirements Registered Children’s Nurse, current NMBI registration. Strong clinical experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational and time management. Good business acumen. Commercial awareness. Ability to show empathy and compassion. Ability to manage a caseload of clients and corresponding staff. Excellent attention to detail and willingness to work as part of a team. CPR, Patient Manual Handling, Children First Training.     Join to apply for the Clinical Risk & Quality Manager role at Communicare Healthcare The Clinical Risk and Quality Manager (CRQM) is responsible for managing the development, implementation and monitoring of best‑in‑class policies, procedures, structures and systems relating to clinical risk and quality assurance (including client satisfaction and staff performance) within Communicare’s Paediatric Care division. Based out of our Galway or Dublin office, the CRQM will liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including staff, clients and their families, HSE coordinators and others as required, working closely with other managers and Communicare’s Senior Management team. Key Competencies and Responsibilities Compliance, Governance and Risk Management Maintain and develop the Paediatric Care division’s clinical governance framework in conjunction with the other managers; review, identify, develop and implement clinical policies and procedures appropriate for community‑based paediatric care service delivery. Ensure that a robust risk management process is maintained, which identifies both clinical and non‑clinical incidents and risks and manages these risks to minimise impacts to clients and staff and minimise the opportunity for reoccurrence of errors. Identify, manage, report on and address operational and clinical risks; implement mitigating interventions, policies and procedures and action plans established in conjunction with the Senior Management team. Have input into care planning, reporting and ongoing clinical management. Keep up‑to‑date and monitor compliance with relevant legislation, standards and regulation at all levels of service delivery. Oversee the management of comments, complaints and compliments, and the resolution of client‑impacting issues in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Teamwork and Building Relationships Develop productive relationships and liaise regularly with staff, clients and their families, the HSE and other stakeholders. Manage any emerging or existing stakeholder conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. Actively engage with colleagues at all levels of the Paediatric Care division and across the company more broadly; support the operational efficiency of the division, including involvement in interviewing applicants for nursing roles.
