  • Quality & Performance Manager  

    - Mullingar

    The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure. As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved in the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network. In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland. Purpose of the Role The Quality Performance Manager will maintain and improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), covering ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001, and lead the drive to achieve ISO 55001 Asset Management. You will own monthly reporting, prepare project quality packs for pavement schemes, gantry, ducting and structure works, and manage testing and inspection records. You will also support sustainability initiatives (transport decarbonisation, depot solar/LED, biodiversity) working with a Sustainability Champion and the management team. Main Responsibilities As Quality & Performance Manager you will manage and continuously improve the Integrated Management System and liaise with the Safety Manager and other teams to ensure processes are recorded and followed. Maintain existing ISO standards and expand systems for ISO 55001 and Carbon Ladder Certification. Prepare and control project quality packs, testing records and documentation, and produce monthly and annual client reports. Oversee safety, quality and design documentation, review plans and RAMS as required, run regular management reviews, and develop performance measurement tools with the Operations Manager. Ideal Candidate You will hold a level eight HETAC-recognised qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and membership of a recognised industry body (eg Engineers Ireland, IAT, CIHT). You should have experience on road maintenance contracts, proven quality systems management, and strong data and environmental controls knowledge. Purpose of the Role As Junior Health and Safety Advisor you will support the site Safety Team and Group Safety Manager to implement and maintain health and safety systems across the site. Provide administrative support for safety programmes, assist with ISO 45001 / Safe T Cert administration, and promote safe working under the One Colas Behavioural Programme. Work closely with Operations, Training and HR to keep the workplace safe for staff, contractors and clients. You can be based in any of the following areas for this role Ennis/Nenagh/Athlone/Kinnegad. In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland. Purpose of the Role This role is for a Quantity Surveyor with VIAE — part of the Colas Group in Dublin. VIAE provides dedicated temporary traffic management solutions to both the public and private sectors, offering a one‑stop service for traffic management and highway maintenance. You will provide timely commercial support to project teams, protect project margins, manage cashflow and contribute to accurate forecasting and reporting across the business. The role involves regular site attendance and close collaboration with operational and supply teams across Ireland. Main Responsibilities As Quantity Surveyor you will measure works completed on site and prepare interim valuations and applications for payment. Continuous monitoring of project costs is required, including updating cost reports and tracking labour, plant and materials against budgets. You will review subcontractor payment applications, agree measures with the Contracts Team and generate and record purchase orders in the internal costing system. Pricing of new tenders and smaller repeat works will form part of your duties, alongside managing project cashflow to ensure applications are submitted on time and cash forecasts remain accurate. You will produce backlog file values to support works turnover forecasting and prepare Work in Progress information for month‑end accounts. Close working with the Contracts Team is essential to align commercial and operational activity and to ensure contractual requirements are met. Attendance at site visits and liaison with stakeholders to resolve commercial, technical and contractual issues will be expected. Ideal Candidate You will have proven quantity surveying or commercial experience on highway or infrastructure projects, with strong commercial awareness across costing and contractor management. You will be able to measure works, price variations, prepare interim valuations, manage cashflow and assist with tender pricing. Good problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills are required, together with a commitment to health & safety, quality and continuous improvement. You should be self‑motivated, accountable and able to prioritise. Purpose of the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our Traffic Management business from the Dublin area on a full‑time basis. You will set the overall direction for the company, steer growth and performance across two depots (Dublin and Cork), and ensure excellent delivery of services to public and private clients. The role includes leadership of the senior management team, responsibility for financial and operational outcomes, and development of strong stakeholder relationships. An attractive remuneration package is offered, including salary, a company vehicle and additional benefits. Main Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, profitability and market share. Lead, mentor and manage the senior management team to deliver agreed targets and objectives. Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are required, along with flexibility, willingness to travel nationwide, and the ability to work independently or within teams. Candidates must be willing to undertake role‑specific training. Desirable but not essential: Level 1 & 2 TTM Designer qualifications, Level 3 high‑speed training, and experience in all types of Traffic Management and minor civil engineering.
