    Reporting to the Senior Electrician, the Electrician will be responsible for the assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning of bespoke water and wastewater treatment systems at Coftec’s Athenry facility. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative engineering solutions within a safety-focused, quality-driven environment, supporting both in-house manufacturing and on-site project delivery. Key Responsibilities Assemble and wire all electrical components of water and wastewater treatment systems at the Coftec manufacturing facility. Work closely with the Senior Electrician and Manufacturing Manager to ensure efficient delivery of projects. Adhere to all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) management systems and procedures. Follow Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and process-specific method statements. Ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Carry out all duties in a safe and compliant manner, using the correct tools and equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Participate in electrical commissioning activities on design-and-build projects where required. Identify and report technical findings, issues, and recommendations to supervisors. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including safety and compliance documentation. Support and mentor apprentices and junior team members. Stay up to date with new technologies, equipment, and industry best practices. Report any accidents or incidents in accordance with company policy. Contribute to a positive safety culture across all activities. Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an electrical or related role. Relevant qualification (e.g. FETAC, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Experience in the construction or water/wastewater industry is desirable. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings. Strong understanding of safe working practices, including working at height and in confined spaces. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours and project requirements. Full clean Irish/EU driving licence. Willingness to travel for site installations when required. Authorised to work in Ireland (e.g. valid work permit or Stamp 4 visa).   • Mechanical Technician/Fitter  

    - Galway

    Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Mechanical Technician / Fitter will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and plumbing systems across water and wastewater treatment projects. This role involves both workshop-based manufacturing at Coftec’s Athenry facility and on-site installations across Ireland and the UK. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to interpret technical drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Assemble and install mechanical and plumbing components for water and wastewater treatment systems at the Coftec manufacturing facility. Carry out mechanical installations and site-based works across Ireland and the UK. Undertake mechanical fit-out of water and wastewater treatment plants. Assist in the design and layout of minor mechanical and plumbing systems. Interpret technical drawings, including CAD and P&ID diagrams, to ensure accurate installation. Calculate material quantities and prepare material lists as required. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and plumbing issues, implementing effective solutions. Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards and procedures. Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including safety and compliance documentation. Report findings, issues, and recommendations to supervisors. Support and mentor apprentices and junior team members. Work safely at all times, including in confined spaces and at height where required. Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold a strong safety culture across all activities. Requirements Relevant qualification (e.g. FETAC, City & Guilds, or equivalent experience). Proven experience in mechanical assembly, particularly within complex or customised engineering environments. Experience in the water and wastewater industry is advantageous. Welding experience (mild steel, stainless steel, and plastics) is desirable. Ability to read and interpret CAD and P&ID drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours and project requirements. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at height. Full clean Irish/UK/EU driving licence. Willingness to travel for site installations across Ireland and the UK. Authorised to work in Ireland (e.g. valid work permit or Stamp 4 visa).
