Overview

Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry‑leading sampling and analysis; and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors. We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on‑site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out marine, coastal, and inland environmental sampling, including work conducted from boats.
Regularly going out on the water to collect environmental samples, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
Collecting water samples from environments such as lakes, rivers, and treatment plants, as well as carrying out cryptosporidium sampling and water scheme sampling.
Extensive daily driving to client sites nationwide, including driving long distances and towing trailers when required.
Preparing, maintaining, and transporting sampling equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and fit for purpose.
Adhering to site‑specific procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintaining company vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Liaising professionally with clients while onsite, representing CLS in a positive and professional manner.
Ensuring compliance with ISO standards, GMP, INAB requirements, and CLS quality and technical procedures.
Being flexible to support sampling schedules, including occasional overnight stays.
Carrying out additional duties as required.
Who You Are
Someone who thrives on variety and enjoys no two days being the same.
Comfortable working outdoors and on boats, and on the water on a regular basis.
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel, drive long distances, and work varying schedules.
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in a range of environmental and weather conditions.
Detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance.
A strong communicator with a professional and customer‑focused approach.
A proactive team player who can also work independently.
Where You Come From
No previous experience required – full training will be provided.
A strong appreciation for following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
A clean, full driving licence is essential.
Experience driving, launching, and retrieving boats is an advantage, but not essential.
Previous experience in environmental sampling, marine work, laboratory work, or other field‑based roles is beneficial but not required.
