About the Role Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee the hotels operations, motivate staff, and enhance service standards across all departments. In the GMs absence, you will be the responsible leader onsite, ensuring excellence in every aspect of our guests stay. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience: Prepare for arrivals, review reservations, and note preferences or special requests. Welcome guests warmly, creating a sense of hospitality during check-in and throughout their stay. Act as a visible point of contact, ensuring guests feel valued and addressing any queries or complaints professionally. Team Leadership: Lead and liaise with department heads to maintain high standards of service. Motivate and engage staff to deliver memorable customer experiences. Support the F&B team during busy periods to ensure exceptional service. Operations Management: Coordinate training and development programs for staff, ensuring continuous improvement. Enforce grooming and uniform policies and implement disciplinary procedures when necessary. Promote cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across all hotel departments. Promoting Local Attractions: Share knowledge of Connemaras attractions, helping guests discover hidden gems and local highlights. The Clifden Station House Hotel is seeking a highly motivated Accommodation Manager to lead our housekeeping team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our bedrooms, apartments, public areas, and back of house spaces. _____________________________________________________________________________________ About the Role As Accommodation Manager, you will ensure that our guests enjoy a spotless and comfortable environment. You will lead and inspire a team of approximately 20 staff, maintain the highest cleanliness standards, and manage the departments budgets and resources efficiently. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Recruit, roster, train, and manage the Accommodation Team to deliver exceptional results. Plan and organize workloads to maximize productivity and maintain standards. Ensure staff uniforms are well-maintained and presented professionally. Operational Excellence: Oversee housekeeping operations across all guest rooms, apartments, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Inspect premises daily to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and organization. Coordinate with Reception to plan room allocations for both the Hotel and Apartments. Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and courteously. Financial and Resource Management: Manage the accommodation departments budget, control costs, and monitor productivity. Handle stock management, including ordering supplies and managing linen returns. Adapt to changes in business levels to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining standards.
