Job Title: Continuous Improvement Lead
Client: Large Multinational – Transport Sector
Role Overview: Clerkin Connect is proud to partner with a leading organisation to recruit a Continuous Improvement Lead. This exciting role is part of the organisation’s transformation programme, aimed at establishing a central Continuous Improvement team to drive operational excellence across the business.
As a key member of the team, the Continuous Improvement Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Lean strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to implement process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and impactful change projects, supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals.
Your Responsibilities Acting as a Lean expert within the Continuous Improvement team, responsible for:
Defining and implementing the Continuous Improvement (CI) operations framework for consecutive CI tracks (alone or in tandem with another CI expert).
Working closely with key stakeholders to support implementation across the CI track in scope, using a business partner approach.
Creating and implementing short- and medium-term process improvement plans.
Ensuring project/workstream design meets functional requirements and is achievable for the organisation.
Following up with the business after the track has been completed.
Applying Lean Six Sigma expertise with strong capability and experience in developing implementation strategies for complex, multidisciplinary parts of organisations.
Supporting the creation of a culture of continuous improvement by rolling out implementation frameworks and associated education.
Installing CI processes within assigned tracks and supporting their further development.
Ensuring CI champions (designated individuals from the business working closely with the CI team) develop strong skills in CI methods and tools, anchoring CI within the organisation.
Participating in cultural change initiatives, such as sharing CI success stories, executing workshops, supporting town halls, and promoting the new CI approach.
Travelling as required to attend meetings, workshops, or other related activities across various locations.
Your Qualifications & Key Criteria Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Expert in Lean Six Sigma with demonstrable experience leading the implementation of complex operational changes or CI tracks.
Proven track record of successfully influencing leaders during past change projects.
Experience contributing to and shaping applicable industry best practices.
Desirable: Experience operating across multiple countries and cultures.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to create and communicate an inspiring vision while influencing and persuading stakeholders.
Effective stakeholder management, balancing and finding compromises between differing views.
Strong business partnering and influencing capabilities with excellent commercial awareness.
Proven problem-solving skills and understanding of broader business contexts.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and work under pressure.
Innovation skills, including transforming industry trends into practical, cost-effective, secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.
Proven coaching abilities.
Fluent written and spoken English.
