Managing a safe workforce (direct staff and sub-contractors). Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project. Driving the project forward by being ahead of requirements. Checking plans, drawings and supervision of subcontractors across the project. Planning work efficiently ensuring strict deadlines are met. Overseeing quality control and quality measures on sites. Also responsible for resolving unexpected technical difficulties in consultation with the Design Managers and dealing with any problems which arise. Possessing the ability to communicate clearly to all stakeholders. Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress. Quality management and BCAR coordination. Energy Management – ensuring sites are operating in line with our Energy program. Handling technical queries when necessary and interfacing with the client, consultant and architect regarding RFI's. Qualifications / Experience Have over 10 years experience in healthcare / commercial / residential construction – ideally within a main/specialist contractor. Trade background welcome. Excellent communication skills. Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels. Confident, experienced individual with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution. Computer literate and familiar with MS Office, Excel, Project, (or similar scheduling package).
