  • Background Our client, a leading professional services firm with a long‑established financial services practice, is creating a dedicated Regulatory Business Services offering as part of their exciting growth strategy. The firm already works with a broad, sophisticated client base across asset management, investment funds, investment firms, and regulated financial services. As regulatory obligations continue to deepen and operationalise, clients are increasingly seeking practical, delivery‑led regulatory support, not just advice. This role sits at the centre of that shift. It is an opportunity to help shape a new regulatory services capability, grounded in technical excellence, commercial realism, and long‑term strategic intent. The Opportunity This is a build‑and‑lead role, not a caretaker position and not a pure sales mandate. The Director of Regulatory Business Services will play a central role in establishing and growing a high‑quality regulatory services business within a respected professional services environment. In the early phase, the focus is on doing the work well, setting standards, and building credibility with clients and internal stakeholders. Over time, the role broadens naturally. As services mature and demand increases, the Director will help shape growth strategy, refine commercial models, develop new service lines, and build a small, high‑calibre team. For the right individual, this is a rare opportunity to combine technical authority with strategic leadership and to influence the direction and scale of a growing services business. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver regulatory and compliance services to financial services clients Set delivery standards, methodologies, and quality benchmarks Balance regulatory rigour with pragmatic, real‑world solutions Act as a senior, credible point of contact for clients, boards, and regulators Commercial & Strategic Development Help shape service scope, pricing, and delivery models Work closely with senior stakeholders to convert existing relationships into service mandates Contribute to the identification and development of new regulatory service offerings Support sustainable revenue growth through quality, relevance, and repeatability Establish the foundations of the regulatory services function Build and, over time, lead a small, high‑quality regulatory services team Collaborate internally across advisory, legal, and innovation functions Represent the business externally with professionalism and authority This is not a transactional sales role. Commercial impact is driven through judgement, credibility, delivery quality and strategic input, particularly in the early stages. The Individual This role suits someone who brings depth, balance, and maturity. You are likely to have: A strong background in regulated financial services, regulatory advisory, governance, or compliance Proven experience delivering regulatory or compliance services in complex environments The confidence to be hands‑on while building structure around you Strong industry knowledge and credibility with senior stakeholders Commercial awareness and strategic thinking, without being sales‑led Ideally well networked in the Irish market with a proven track record. Comfortable operating where not everything is predefined, and you take satisfaction in building something that lasts. Why This Role? Substantive Build Opportunity – Shape a regulatory services business from its formative stages Credible Environment – Strong client base, senior sponsorship, and institutional backing Balanced Mandate – A genuine mix of technical delivery, commercial judgement, and strategic leadership Long‑Term Upside – Clear scope to influence growth and assume broader leadership over time Quality First – Emphasis on reputation, delivery excellence, and sustainable growth If you are a senior funds/asset management professional with strong regulatory or compliance experience looking to move beyond pure advisory or oversight roles and play a meaningful role in building and leading a regulatory services business, this is a conversation worth having. NB - The salary can be discussed and negotiated. The wider package will be very competitive and commensurate with the skills and experience of the individual. #J-18808-Ljbffr
