Due to continuing expansion, CField are seeking motivated, qualified Quality Surveyors to join our existing team in the Limerick area. The successful candidates will have exposure to and assist in the delivery of a wide variety of projects across multiple industry sectors including residential, commercial, pharma, industrial, educational and more. SUMMARY OF ROLE: Reporting tothe , the successful Quantity Surveyor will assist in the delivery of large-scale projects. Workingto support the effective management of project costs and ensuring accurate financial control, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career in quantity surveying within the construction industry. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: These include but are not limited to: Assist the Associate Director - Surveying in ensuring successful delivery of all project commercial aspects Assist in procurement, appointment and management of specialist contracts (subcontracts & suppliers) through to final account agreement Assist in preparing accurate monthly progress accounts Support the preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders on occasion Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project teams Stay updated on industry trends, regulations etc Monitoring of contra charges and notification to sub-contractors Sub-contractor re-measurement, interim and final account payments Final account preparations at the end of the project Cost monitoring and reporting and attending monthly cost reporting meetings Cashflow forecasting for projects and issuing monthly reports to accounts Planning and performing other duties and projects as assigned Ad-hoc reporting/requests when required by direct line manager KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: A successful candidate will demonstrate the following: A Level 8 degree inQuantity Surveying essential Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar role with a main contractor / subcontractor essential Experience in residential sector is preferable Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Working knowledge of Buildsoft/Cubit/Bluebeam preferred but not essential as training will be provided Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to build excellent working relationships with a wide range of people Excellent presentation skills Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and excellent measurement knowledge Organised, with an ability to manage time effectively Ability toprioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working to tight deadlines Strong knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and working on site Ambitious, enthusiastic and career driven Ability to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team Full, clean drivers license Skills: IT skills communication skills.
