For more information visit . The Role: This role sits within the Maintenance Operations function and coordinates all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the site. The successful candidate will work closely with Technicians, Engineers, Vendors and cross-functional partners to ensure maintenance work is scheduled, resourced and executed efficiently and in compliance with GMP standards. Responsibilities: Plan and schedule all maintenance activities, including reactive, preventative and calibration tasks, using the site CMMS. Lead daily and weekly planning meetings to prioritise work orders and review maintenance plans for accuracy and effectiveness. Collaborate with the Maintenance Operations Manager and all site departments to prepare jobs for safe and efficient execution. Forecast maintenance workloads, identify resource needs and coordinate vendor activities for specialist work. Maintain and manage the maintenance notification backlog within the CMMS, ensuring data is accurate and audit-ready. Review work requests, define scope, inspect equipment, and estimate labour, materials, tools and parts for planned work. Plan and support the execution of annual maintenance shutdowns. Support investigations into equipment failures and contribute to root cause analysis activities. Complete deviations, CAPAs and change controls as required. Develop and maintain standard job plans, maintenance procedures and scheduling processes. Build and report on maintenance KPIs to support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives. Work with Stores and Purchasing to ensure required parts, tools and materials are available before scheduling work. Gather technical documentation such as drawings, OEM manuals and spare parts lists to support work planning. Improve planning and scheduling effectiveness through data review, maintenance metrics and RCA triggers. Administer the site CMMS, including user training and system upkeep. Support site safety initiatives and ensure all planning activities align with safety and GMP requirements. Contribute to audit preparation and ongoing compliance of maintenance documentation and processes. Assist with the development and improvement of site maintenance and calibration programmes. Qualifications: Strong experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems is essential. Previous experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, or five years' maintenance experience, or an equivalent technical qualification with relevant industry exposure. Experience in GMP, biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing is an advantage. Ability to plan mechanical and electrical maintenance activities and support troubleshooting efforts. For more information visit . The Role: We are now seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site technical team supporting a biologics manufacturing facility in Cork. This role reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager and is responsible for maintaining a wide range of process, utility and facility systems in a GMP-compliant environment. The Maintenance Technician will work as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team supporting production, quality and facilities operations. Responsibilities: Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on process, utility and facility equipment in line with cGMP, safety requirements, SOPs and best maintenance practices Troubleshoot equipment issues and execute effective corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance. Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to identify the root causes of equipment issues and drive continuous improvement. Coordinate external vendor activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures and regulatory expectations. Participate in problem-solving investigations, including root cause analysis, when equipment failures impact performance, quality or safety. Ensure electrical, mechanical and utility systems remain in a controlled and compliant state at all times. Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of engineering projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with all project and business safety and quality goals. Scope new engineering projects and secure capital approval. Lead, support, and participate in commissioning and qualification activities for both current and future projects. Update and influence management and project stakeholders. Coordinate the participation of specialist trades and departments. Coordinate project interfaces with other projects and departments. Coordinate and interface with third parties (suppliers, customers, service providers, etc.). Coordinate project documentation. Perform cost estimation (creation, tracking, updating, auditing vs. actual costs, forecasting). Manage project scheduling (creation, tracking, updating, review vs. current state, forecasting). Report project progress and manage risks. Conduct constructability, maintainability, and operability studies. Manage project resources. Check the current condition of systems (structural, E&I, as well as safety, permitting, and documentation). Organize and coordinate project meetings and appointments. Provide project-related training as required. Conduct retrospective project performance reviews vs. project goals and lessons learned. Participate in and lead cross-functional teams as necessary. Ensure the safe accomplishment of job activities, following good environmental practices and procedures. Commit to and demonstrate safe behavior in every activity. Carry out routine and non-routine tasks delegated by the manager according to appropriate procedures, values, and standards. Perform all activities in compliance with corporate and cGMP/EHS regulatory requirements. Comply with engineering and general site procedures at all times. Complete all documentation in compliance with site procedures and GDP. Prioritize and schedule activities to support business needs. Ensure that personal training requirements are completed in compliance with site procedures. Support ongoing studies by Operations, Quality Validation, MSAT, Facilities, and other support functions. Support external site visits as required for project-related activities. Interface with all site departments, including Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Quality, MSAT, Commissioning/Qualification, and Training departments. Qualifications and Experience: Third-level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science. At least 3 years experience delivering engineering projects within a GMP regulated environment. Qualification in Project Management. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP, LIMs, and/or other business systems. Training in 6-Sigma/Kepner-Tregoe or similar problem-solving/decision-making methodologies.
