  • Electrical QAQC Walkdown Engineer Contract - 6 months+ Dun Laoghaire, Dublin Biotech Site Job Purpose The Electrical QA/QC Walkdown Engineer is responsible for conducting systematic inspection and verification of electrical installations prior to commissioning and handover. The role ensures that all electrical systems are installed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and quality requirements and that all outstanding items are identified, documented, and closed out before system energisation. Key Responsibilities Perform system walkdowns of electrical installations including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, cable trays and ladders, power and control cabling, instrumentation wiring, lighting and small power systems. Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications, method statements and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). Identify deficiencies and generate punch list / snag list items. Classify punch items by priority and track closure with construction contractors. Ensure documentation is complete including inspection test records, cable test certificates, continuity and insulation resistance tests, earthing results and as-built drawings. Support Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready For Commissioning (RFC) milestones. Prepare system turnover packages and verify completion of check sheets and inspection records. Ensure compliance with IEC / BS / IEEE standards, project quality plans and local regulations. Coordinate with construction supervisors, commissioning engineers, QA inspectors and client representatives. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required and support resolution of quality issues.
