  • Parts Assistant Manager

As a result of our ongoing expansion and business growth, we are seeking to strengthen our team by appointing a Parts Assistant Manager . This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, customer-focused professional to build a rewarding career with one of Irelands leading motor retailer groups. Role responsibilities: Support the Parts Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume Parts Department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellent customer service. Supervise and mentor Parts Advisors and Senior Parts Advisors, providing day-to-day guidance, motivation, and support. Act as first point of contact for operational queries, escalating to the Parts Manager when necessary. Ensure that all customers (retail, trade, and internal workshop) are served promptly, professionally, and courteously. Monitor Vehicle Health Checks to ensure required parts are identified, priced, and quoted in a timely manner. Oversee the accurate picking, packing, and distribution of parts to technicians and customers, ensuring minimal delays. Assist in managing inventory control and stock levels, maintaining accurate records in the Dealer Management System (DMS). Support routine stocktakes and spot checks to ensure discrepancies are resolved quickly. Liaise with Service Advisors, Technicians, and external suppliers to ensure seamless communication regarding availability, pricing, and delivery times. Contribute to trade sales growth and coordinate with delivery drivers as required. Assist the Parts Manager with performance reporting, including relevant KPIs, sales tracking, and stock analysis. Deputise for the Parts Manager in their absence, ensuring consistent leadership and continuity of departmental operations. Promote compliance with all company health & safety standards and contribute to maintaining a clean, organised work environment. Deliver on departmental targets and contribute to sales initiatives developed by the Parts Manager. Provide coaching and training to team members to support career development and maintain a high standard of service knowledge. Comply with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in a Parts Department within the automotive industry, ideally in a high-volume dealership or group. Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory processes, and DMS operation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, customers, and suppliers. Leadership ability with experience mentoring or supervising staff. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused with a proactive and problem-solving approach. Flexibility to deputise for the Parts Manager and take responsibility when required. Commitment to delivering high standards of service, efficiency, and compliance. Work to sales targets and complete tasks in allotted times in accordance with Company and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing finance, insurance and ancillary product sales at the largest Passenger and LCV dealership in Ireland. Responsibilities: Manage and develop the Retail Finance Sales function to serve both Passenger and LCV customers. Collaborate with the sales team to optimise financing and Insurance options for customers and increase sales revenue. Ensure that all vehicles sold are paid for in a timely manner. Maintain compliance with financial regulations and manufacturers standards. Manage relationships with financial institutions for financing and leasing options. Negotiate best in market rates from financial institutions. In liaison with the Customer Service team establish wants and needs of the customer and review opportunities to secure repeat business. Expertly oversee the enquiry management process, supporting and motivating the Sales team to convert prospects into customers. Preparation and presentation of KPIs to the Board on a regular basis. Qualifications: Professional Diploma in Financial Advice-QFA qualification is required Proven experience in finance sales in the automotive industry Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Knowledge of financial software and systems Ability to work in a demanding environment and multitask effectively. Role responsibilities: Actively promote Opel & Peugeot Vehicles and achieve agreed sales targets.. Proactively sell new and used vehicles, maximising profitability across the value chain. Deliver excellence in customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey. Consistently implement the Bright sales process. Accurately record all prospect and customer details, sales activities, and documentation in the CRM system in a timely and consistent manner that complies with all GDPR requirements. We now have aParts Advisor role available in our Navan Roaddealership. Role responsibilities: Assist and advise customers via telephone, online and face to face. Ensure parts are efficiently pre-picked and distributed to service technicians at the beginning of each day. Process orders from customers and service technicians. Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Utilise the Company dealer management system (DMS) to process orders and invoice customers. Monitor vehicle health checks to select required parts and price them to allow customer quotes to be completed in a timely manner. Ensure that parts issued are charged correctly to appropriate jobs. Communicate with the service advisors and technicians about inventory, pricing, and delivery times. Maintain an organised parts inventory ensuring that parts are held at the correct bin locations and that all parts issued are properly accounted for. Order parts from manufacturers and other dealerships. Correctly account for all parts received and ensure that they are stored in appropriate bin locations. Comply with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will ideally: Have experience working in a busy Parts department at a main franchise dealer. Possess a good knowledge of motor vehicles and a have a technical background with the ability to interpret a complex parts catalogue. Have the ability to work alone or in cooperation with other team members to deliver excellent customer service. Work to sales targets and complete tasks in allotted times in accordance with Company and manufacturer standards. Be computer literate and follow processes in accordance with the Company dealer management system (DMS). Be punctual and show initiative while demonstrating a strong work ethic. Be confident enough to mentor and coach less experienced team members.
